Fuck Mayweather/Hatton

lunging in head first with no grace or technique and wrestling ur opponent isnt exactly what i would call super fast.. hatton has little D but he comes in with angles, and no one else in the sport gets on your ass as fast. i aint sayin hes not fast, but it is my opinion, OPINION, that paul is the quicker over all fighter. it would be cool if your opinion matched what your eyes saw mayweather would box circles around him, ricky's got no D, he's a brawler, kinda like an upgraded version of gatti, and he will get an upgraded gatti-like beating if he steps in there with floyd. dont mean to dis ur boy, but it is what it is, sorry. you know what's funny? that if any active boxer is my boy, that's Mayweather. Different from others, I am objective. "Hatton an upgraded version of Gatti" is horseshit... did you see the first rounds of the Urango fight? Do you see how Hatton uses angles? Did you notice he has side movement? did you notice that his wrestling takes skills (although its f-++-n' ugly to see, it's still takes skills) It is completely possible that Hatton is in for a beating, but it would be a Chavez-type beating not a Gatti-type beating. Hatton will not come out jabbing (and he is Flash compared to Gatti), he will pretty much try to enter Mayweather trunks and leave them in round 12. It so happens that the Chavez fight was my favorite Floyd fight, so I look forward to Mayweather-Hatton.

I, also, would like to see Mayweather fight Williams, but not until Williams beats Cotto and Mayweather beats Hatton. These undefeated fighters have to start going at it while they're still in their primes. Otherwise, we may never know what could have been.

Yea Paul did 1000+ punches against antonio but what was his CONNECT %? You would have to lower that even more against Mayweather. He might have a problem with Paul's jab. Mayweather is a master at what he does, he would find a way to win regardless of the reach advantage. To be honest though; they both throw A LOT of pitty pat punches. I still like them both though. Landing is not the problem in this case... When you're have someone double your size in front of you who throws non-stop.. you will have a problem getting to him. Williams throws in combos.. something Mayweather abandoned fights ago... This "get one punch in and run away" will NOT work against Williams. Wake up people. :pat:

This fight doesn't seem very interesting too me, mayweather is a great fighter, but i don't like too watch him anymore since his two last performance. and ricky hatton is a good fighter, but his grabbing and holding and hitting is annoying. Mitchell was elite and game at one point of his career. But after the losses to Tszyu/Mayweather and that bout with Jose Luis Cruz (wow, he looked BAD) he was not up to Paul Williams' level. I used to love Mitchell, still do. But I meant what you said, after the losses to Tsyzu, Mayweather and Cruz I just didn't think he was up to Paul's level anymore. And to argue that Williams beat a game Mitchell, would be like arguing that Gomez beat a game Gatti (who oddly enough, even when he was game, wasn't worth much).

I'd rather see Mayweather/Williams. I know that Paul is still pretty "green" and hasn't got the experience needed yet to fight someone as elite as Mayweather but I find myself more excited about a possible clash in the future than I do Mayweather/Hatton. I would love to see how Floyd would showcase his defense against a guy who throws 100+ punches per round. Am I the only one? I definetly agree.

I predict Mayweather but Hatton is a live underdog. I have the fight tipped at about 60/40 in favour of Mayweather. And you were basically implying that you wanted to see Mayweather/Williams right away because you know there is A LOT of legit talk about Hatton/Mayweather know. That's why I called you on your shit. And yeah, it would be interesting. but Paul Williams has ONE big win....over a guy who really didnt have many big wins in Margarito. I concur that Hatton is a lively underdog and it makes an interesting fight, I'm just saying that stylewise this fight makes me think more, it's that simple. I wasn't implying I wanted to see the fight right now, I just wanted to make a thread where others like myself who think it would be interesting, could go about discussing it. I personally wouldn't want to see Williams fight Mayweather until he establishes himself further. In order to do that he'd have to beat someone like Cotto or Mosley, which is a big test that I'm not so sure he could pass. And I concur in Williams having one big win, I don't think anybody in their right mind could argue that Mitchell and Matthysse were "elite" fighters.
