according to fightnews.com he just beat the 31st ranked fighter in 65 seconds today in his 5th fight
He did,i downloaded a couple of his fights, hes very good, and a great amateur and olympic boxer,so maybe him keeping his hands down aint as bad,he might naturaly be good at moving from shots and finds it comfortable the way he fights, hes FAST and puts together nice combos
His opponents so far in his 5 fight career have had a record of 82-21-3 all together, not bad at all
I see an RJJ wannabe, and that's gonna be a huge mistake to make.how is he a rjj wannabe? back in his hometown you can't even see any american fighters on t.v :ugh:
they dont know anything outside of cuba.
Obviously....he has natural athletic ability, & great reflexes. But, that hands down/HEAD IN THE AIR shit must get corrected.
He'll get away with it against the medioce guys, but won't when he stepd up.exactly. he drops his guard when he steps away. thats an easy target for a jab to land.

never heard of him, but he looks like he could be real good if he gets trained the right way. good speed and quick hands. def needs work though to be a top contender.he definetly needs to work on his defense, everytime he backs away he puts his guard down. and thats not a good move.

yep thats one of them.
the heavyweight(solis) just needs to go down to his best weight which is 200lbs. hes now at 260.
i heard after that fight, he came here to miami to meet with his wife and kids who someone somehow brought them here from cuba, and he's here with them, hes thinking of fighting here in the states to get more known.
Ah, yeah...I remember reading that too. When they got out of Cuba, they were scheduled to make their debuts here at Miccosukee and I had bought tix, but there was some contract problems and they signed with Saurland or Universum and have been over there exclusively. But I do hope they make it in town. Especially Solis (I couldnt remember his name before); I give him credit for facing guys with prety good records right off the bat and taking them out, one by one. Even though they are European, where the quality is weak sometimes, there's no denying a winning record and he's disposing of them mad easily.
He's one of the three cubans that came over from Cuba a few months ago, right? I'm looking forward to seeing them fight here in Miami...especially the Heavyweight. Looks like he's been really downing the cuban food since he got here tho.yep thats one of them.

Not bad, Good movements.. head moves a lot, fast hands and feet. But, once his speed goes, if he keeps his defense as is (I know, he's young, I'm just judging based on THIS video) he'll be hit, a lot.
Can't tell by that video because the guy he fought seems like he sucks.yea he does sucks, gamboa is pretty quick for a lightweight, and that isn't his best division (in the olympics he was a flyweight). he showed good movement in that fight. not bad for his 3rd win
