Situation #1 If Hatton beats Floyd decisively he is definite Fighter of The Year If Floyd KO's Hatton he gets it Situation #2 If Cotto defends his title 2 times more with 1 KO and or 1 more time with an early KO he wins co-FOTY with Hatton if he beats Floyd or Floyd if he KO's Hatton and if situation #1 dosent happen he wins FOTY Situation #3 If Calzage or Kessler win by KO or decisively and Situations #1 and #2 dont happen they would win Situation #4 If Paquiao wins by KO aginst his next opponent and Situations #1,#2 ,and #3 happen he gets FOTY Situation #5 If Wlad Klitschko beats Lamon Brewster and gets one more title and Situations #1,#2,#3,and #4 dont happen he would win FOTY Situation #6 If Kelly Pavlik KO's Jermain Taylor or wins decisively and Situations #1,#2,#3,and #4 dont happen and #5 does He and Wald are co-FOTY or if situations #1, #2, #3, #4, and #5 dont happen he would win FOTY Situation #7 If none of these happen Cotto and Floyd win co-FOTY

Good analysis. I'd think if Hatton-Mayweather fight then the winner will take it. Otherwise it could be Pavlik if he KOs taylor, Cotto if he beats Marg/williams, or Mayweather if none of that happens. I actually think Wlad and Cotto have put in the best performances this year, but then they are two of my faves...

Pavlik wins it if he beats Taylor. Hatton wins it if he beats Mayweather. Cotto could win it if he beats the winner of Williams - Margarito, but if Hatton and/or Pavlik win then cotto is screwed for Fighter of the Year.

Mayweather, Pavlik, Cotto are the favorites right now. Calzaghe can't win because his first of maybe two fights was against an undermatched guy. Same with Klit. Pacquaio is facing a guy he blew out already, so he's out this time.

Yea great post. If Pavlik Knocks out Taylor, and has a succesful defense at the end of the year, he will easily win FOTY. Cause Mayweather was good an all, but he didnt knock out the most feared middleweight in the world, and knockout a top 10 fighter in the world.

I actually think it's very plain and simple... Both Hatton and Mayweather are coming off Huge wins... 1 - Victory over DLH and 2 - a KO win of Castillo... The winner of Hattom / Mayweather is the Fighter of the year. Only thing that can stand in the way is Pavlik if he does to Taylor what he did to Miranda.

I would say the best candidates would be 1 (Hatton),2 (Cotto),6 (Pavlik) all have the best chances IF they win there respective fights.
