I could understand somebody giving it to Castillo if they didn't know how to score a fight. Beyond that, no.
You can't tell me Castillo won any of the first 5 rounds, so how did he win the fight? I'd love to know.
I remember some guy made a thread a little while back that said if you think Mayweather lost then post the scorecards and only one person posted there scorecard for castillo winning. Other than that you just see kids running into threads saying "Gayweather got pwned lolz".
Edit: tysonisgod made the thread ;)
Well of course, most of them havent seen it, i havent got the peice of paper where i have my round for round on it, but i think i gave
115-111 Mayweather, Including
A 9-9 round when mayweather won the round and was deducted a point
a 10-8 round when mayweather won the round and castillo was dedcuted a point.

rofl, they'd probably just post Harold Lederman's scorecard (which was absolutely atrocious), who gave the 3rd round to Castillo for partially landing a mini flurry at the end of the round, after losing 2 minutes and 45 seconds by eating repeated jabs and left hooks.
Harold needs to lay off the reefer.

He didi lose that fight, but he lost it with one hand. With two hands, he dominated castillo.
Mayweather lost that fight.
i dont see scorecards guys?
Watch the fight, not the punchstats. great post
i want to see scorecards, i made a post this month saying, if you think floyd lost the fight show scorecards to back up that 1-you have seen the fight 2- your not just a floyd hater, scorecards and why you scored it for the fighter you scored it for, its not that hard to do if we are all big boxing fans,im watchin floyd vs gatti right now, so anyone got any scorecards?
Its a HBO scoring farce Lederman's scoring was just appaling, i had it the same as two of the three judges, 115-111 mayweather,
And people who think castillo won are just delusional, he clearly lost the first 5 rounds and got deducted a point, so even if you dont count the rounds mayweather won after that, you can see this was no robbery, castillo never won that fight in a millon years, he did well late on, and there were some close rounds, but for people who score rounds for an agressive fighter getting picked off coming in, then yes he won, lol.
And mayweather also knocked him over his own feet and it was called a slip, probably should have been called a knockdown,

I could copy yout post invert the names and I would still be right. They have both been ridiculous about that rematch.
Yeah you could but look at the history of both fighters. Whenever DLH has had a close win he has NEVER given his opponent a rematch. DLH has had a few close wins also.
Whittaker, Quartey, Sturm all of which could've easily have gone the other way.
Trinidad has only 1 controversial victory.
Who are you referring Trinidad didn't give a rematch to? It has to be DLH because that was Trinidads ONLY close match and DLH wanted nothing to do with the rematch.

that being said,
much unlike fighters who dont give rematches after close/controversial fights. Mayweather did.
JCC?
Trinidad?
De La Hoya?
who is the warrior again?

It gets tiring typing the same thing over and over again.
So I'll just copy and paste my post from another thread:
The Punchstats in that fight are a mis-repersentation of how the fight went.
The early rounds that Floyd won, there were very little punches being landed / thrown.
However, the rounds that Castillo won, he was throwing 65-70 punches a round.
Which is why the punchstats seem lopsided. The problem is for Floyd haters is, fights are scored by ROUND, not overall punchstats.
For example:
In round 1, Floyd landed say 10 punches, to Castillo's 5 or 6.
In round 2, Floyd landed again say 10 punches to Castillo's 5 or 6.
However, if you take round 7, Castillo outlanded Floyd say 30 punches to Floyds 17.
If you would look at the punchstats from those 3 rounds respectively, Castillo would actually be ahead 42-37 in punches landed, despite losing 2 out of those 3 rounds.
That's exactly the reason why fights are scored by round, and not overall punchstats.
But, I have a feeling my argument is far too logical for any Floyd hater to consider, so this is just probably a waste of time and a waste of a post.
Keep on hating.
No one has still rebuted this point. So please, if you're going to try and use punchstats as an indictator as to who won this fight, don't even bother as it just makes you look foolish, and noobish.
It's obvious to those who try and use this to say "OH LOOK CASTILLO WON", obviously don't have the mental capacity to reason with logically. Unfortunately for you, boxing is a lot more than just black and white and overall punches being thrown/landed. There's definitely a grey area, but you just choose to ignore that, or just unable to understand the concept.
End of thread.
