Concerns About Gatti/Gomez Fight

yeah i agree, gatti's best days are behind him.... baldy has only a few KO's and was able to stop him... not only is gatti is shot, but he's fighting a naturally bigger, stronger guy... gomez has been in with guys bigger, stronger and faster than gatti... what planet did u come from?....lol (joke).... gomez stinks.....fought mostly 4rd-6 rd caliber fighters, lost to a few of them....barely got by an out of shape manfredo.....got destroyed the 2nd time he faced manfredo....he's never seen anything like gatti.....if gatti doesn't beat this tonka toy tv fighter w/ ease, all it proves is that gatti needs to retire....gomez will never be a champ, let alone multi champ like gatti.....he barely made it out of season 1 of the contender (& he knew he got lucky against peter which is why he didn't look to happy when they brought him back)....why am i talking about gomez?....have we lost our minds?! LOL

Well gatti hasnt looked good in his last few fights and realy isnt a good fighter at this point his carreer. Plus gomez is going to be much much bigger than gatti and will probably just push him around the ring we'll see, asshole

Plus gomez is going to be much much bigger than gatti and will probably just push him around the ring i'll repeat what i wrote....lol not concerened for gatti....if gatti doesn't wreck gomez he should retire, point blank. i am a big gatti fan & i think part of the reason for the gomez fight was to see how he looks against an avg at best fighter. in his prime gomez gets destroyed, just a few yrs ago gomez gets destroyed. now people are wondering if gatti's career is catching up w/ him or was it really just bad performances/out of the ring problems that cost him some wins lately. gomez barely got by an out of shape manfredo the first time around, if u saw the second fight unedited, manfredo destroyed gomez (they made it look good for TV).....if gatti doesn't destroy this banana, he should seriously consider retiring.....he's whooped much better than gomez....& gomez hasn't fought anything better than 4 rd fighters for the most part (losing to a few of them by the way, close calls against others) maybe, maybe i'm wrong.....but i highly doubt it

Anyone else concerned about the Gatti/Gomez fight? I think the ref better pay close attention to this fight b/c Gatti hits hard and Gomez can take shots and I feel this fight has the making for some serious head trauma!!!! I seen Gomez beat Concepion and beat him well after taking alot of good shots from Concepion. Gomez is an awesome infighter.

Ive seen enough.. Only reason he did well on those contender fights was because of the 5 round fights.. and we have no idea about the judging since we only saw highlights... But even Ahmed Kaddour would of stopped him later if it was even an 8 round fight.

Im not trying to be rude... But Gomez kinda sucks if you have ever watched him... He aint good. He is soft, stand right infront of you style.. crap footwork, so basic... his upper body movement and inside brawling is high level..........that you dont know that proves you havent seen a lot of gomez....

Gatti isnt shot. He looked fine to me in his last fight. He just fought in a division thats too big for him, and fought a better fighter. He looked like the same old Gatti to me.

Great thread; maybe the ref should tell the fighters to 'take it easy on one another.' Better yet, maybe the fighters should wear head gear and use those huge 'play gloves' that celebrities use during charity boxing events... GAHA...:banana:

prime example last night everyone watching the fight including Teddy Atlas was saying this fight needs to be stopped, Nwdo is out on his feet and has no balance but the ref didn't stop it b/c dude was "throwing" punches and not even a minute later he catches a devastating left hook that could have seriously injured him!!!! LOL at the ref who looks like Damon Waynes, alls i can think about is when Margarito had Cintron's ear hanging half-way off his head and the look of the refs face when he noticed it!!!! This Damon Waynes ref is a good ref if you want a fight to go longer than it should, he didn't notice Cintron's ear for a like a round and a half!!!!
