Yall Complaining About Max Is Some Bitches Everything Max said and did is the same shit Larry Merchant has been doing for years and now you hate it because you like Ricky Hatton thats some sucka ass shit yall trying to pull. Max=Larry Merchant for years and now that it doesn't suit you alls taste its fucked up LOL at that shit. As for Jim Lampley he's been calling shit wrong for years. All he does is ride the HBO or more popular fighters dick. If fighter A lands a good shot Lampley will say Fighter B landed the good shot. Merchant is just a mean old grouch who doesn't want to accept things have changed so he whines and acts like a old bitch.

You guys all need to settle down. Kellerman is as knowledgable as any commentator out there and has as much passion for our beloved sport as anyone any of us know. He is still relatively new at this but whats wrong with calling it like he saw it, he said Castillo looked shot, was he not supposed to say that? (Did he piss off some proud limeys?) I like Kellerman and I like Merchant, there are alot of people around here who are going to hate on anyone who is behind the mike (Remember Merchant is a drunk who kno one likes but the second he leaves people start to say some nice things). I was at a Barerra fight in Reno years back and they literally had to have securuty usher out some stupid mexicans because they wanted to kill merchant for making certain comments about MAB. Got news for you-your fighter will get critisized at some point-fucking dummies. Settle down I think Max like Larry before him is going to be with us for some time.

It's true that MMA commentary does go some way to explaining the action to the uninitiated, rather than just bitching about the fighters.

They are all pretty bad and biased at times. I think the showtime crew is the best.

I think Kellerman was a two at best, but Lampley was terrible too. The HBO crew has turned to shit. My girlfriend said it is like Lampley has his own talk show with boxing matches in the background. Those guys don't spend enough time talking about the actual fight with any urgency, and they don't try to explain to viewers ( for those who want to watch but don't know the sweet science inside and out) why a fight is progressing the way it is. I really believe that is part of the reason that some people are more excited about things like mma and the boxing on Showtime. HBO really needs to raise their game to a much higher level.

I usually like him, but he wasn't that great during that fight. I was dissapointed when I didnt see Merchant. The thing is though I used to hate Larry, but now HBO boxing wouldn't be the same without him. I'll give Max sometime, but I don't think he'll ever be like Larry.

1.5 He just doesn't have it, as I've said since his first HBO appearance. He's a public access host who just brings the level of the HBO broadcast down. He has no tact, no class, offers next to nothing, no original thought, just regurgitates what he hears some fans saying.

1, I thought he was awful, completly discrediting Hatton's win, wasn't calling great shots, it sounded like he never even wanted to be there, im suprised Hatton didn't hit him when he said Castillo was shot. HBO suppose to be promoting boxing and their fighters, theres no point if there not even going to bother. Setanta, S1 coverage was far better for the fight. You are right

1. Kellerman is a tosspot. Overall i think the HBO coverage wasn't acceptable. They didn't seem interested in the fight. They missed the referee warning Castillo twice for low blows and then questioned why he had been deducted a point. They didn't call the fight, they were either silent or chatting bullshit everytime Hatton did some good bodywork and clean shots were landed from both fighters. I'm glad i didn't watch the HBO coverage live...

Ive said it before and Ill say it again. I cant believe people getting so upset over what Max said but love it when Merchant disses Floyd and other boxers all the time. He does it all the time and those same guys who hate Max right now love it when Merchant does it. Merchant is way more of a ass then Max was that night. There just mad because finally someone through it back the other way. Manny is also suppery annoying and Lampley is getting sickning. The bad part is that Im so use to them that I cant imagine seeing it without Lamp & merchant
