I'll go first...
I wouldn't call myself a Lennox Lewis fan but I respect him because he beat everybody he faught, he faught the best heavyweights, he retired and never was tricked into coming back for $$$ and I thought it was impressive how he cameback after losing Rahman to knock Rahman out. Great heavyweight...
Felix Trinidad for having a big heart. Tito never stops trying to win. Even in the Hopkins fight he never gave up, his father had to jump in and stop it. Tito would have kept fighting.
George Foreman for finding a way to win the title back at 45 years old. Thats amazing.
I respect Marvin Hagler for his work ethic and drive to be the best. Hagler vs. Hearns was insane.
I have to think of some more...
Not a fan of but respect: James Toney, Joe Fraizer, Sugar Ray Leonard, Joe Louis, Miguel Cotto, Joe Calzage, Diego Corrales, Erik Morales, Winky Wright Sugar Ray Robinson, Oscar De La Hoya, Zab Judah, Mike Tyson, Ezzard Charles, Pernell Whitaker, Larry Holmes, Sugar Shane Mosley, Carlos Monzon, Julio Cesar Chavez, Jack Johnson, Benny Leonard
Dont respect: Floyd Mayweather, Gene Tunney, Current Heavyweight Champions, Jermain Taylor, Ike Quartey, Floyd Patterson, Jean-Marc Mormeck
shane mosley. never been a fan because his biggest wins (and really his only big wins) are two decisions (one highly questionable) over oscar de la hoya. beyond that, mosley hasnt really had a big win over a big name. a terrific fighter and i respect the hell out of him, but im just not a fan because hes an underachiever.
marco antonio barrera. fun to watch, but kind of an asshole. slams naz's head into the turnbuckle (IMO he deserved it), punched morales for no reason at a press conference, and punched marquez while he was down. not a fan, but mad respect.
chad dawson. boxed the shit out of my boy adamek. won fair and square, but i dont like guys how beat my boys.
o'neil bell. wins the title and disappears for 14 months. great that he won the undisputed CW title, but when you win the undisputed title, you dont take a vacation for over a year.
antonio margarito. helluva fighter, fun to watch. but he needs to step it up (as hes doing with williams).
antonio tarver. shut jones' mouth twice, gave two great fights with johnson. but he needs to lay off the crack.
cristian mijares. beat my boy arce, the source of my respect and my reason to not be a fan.
a guy i can't stand but after his last three fights he's earned my respect and that is paulie malignaggi. from fighitng no names and shit talking in the process he's steped up his game and done well and has gotten better.
although i still don't like him, he has earned my respect.
hatton too, i thought hatton was a hyped fighter and a protected fighter but after looking bad and the way he composes himself in and out the ring he earned my respect. that and he comes to fight, he doesn't pussyfoot around inside the ring. hatton has made me a fan, i like fighters that fight rough and tough and bring the fire to the ring..............i can say that i like hatton as a fighter, i think he brings more good to boxing than bad, and i think he brings more to boxing than a lot of so called champions that are around today........
Floyd Mayweather Jr.
I'm not a fan of Floyd the person like I once was, because of his antics. But there are few people who I respect more because of their fighting ability. He's just a flat out machine.
