Who would you like to see Floyd Mayweather step in against?
It's been discussed beyone belief.. But a specific answer seems appropriate.
Shane Mosley, Ricky Hatton, and Miguel Cotto all appear to be on the table.
...It almost presents a dilemma.. Albeit a good one. :fing02:
I'll add some other names to the poll in case of developments..
Mainly to fuck around..
Yup
I want to see him fight Mosley badly. Cotto needs to have one more big win to establish his name among the casual fans. He still isn't that known yet, and some people still arent convinced hes an elite fighter. I guess Hatton deserves a chance too. I'm not as intrigued by that fight as I am the Mosley one though.
i totally agree with you on this, ur rite. i would really want to see the cotto one though :boxing:
Mosley, Hatton, Cotto, whether PBF can get through all of them will be interesting. If it's going to be in that order and PBF gets to Cotto, my money would be on Cotto!
Matchmakers...Bring it on!!
I would love to see him step in with Shane, that would be interesting, Shane does have faster hands than DLH. Shane has looked pretty good also in his last fight with Vargas. Looks like being around DLH and Bhop he is picking up some of there Boxing skills.
What's this about Hatton's father telling the press they need a few weeks to work out a deal because of Warren?..
Why wait!!?
What difference will it make???
I would like to see him fight Mosely because I think Mosely has the best shot at beating him, but the atmosphere of the arena if he fights Hatton is going to be great. So I would like to see him fight Hatton a young fighter in his prime. If he were to fight and beat Mosely the excuses would be Floyds likes beating the older fighters. If he fights and beats Hatton that couldn't be said and most excuses would be reaching.
no matter who we want as the next opponent, it seems like it will be hatton. Mosely is just talking shit rite now...and I doubt they will fight..I see mayweather fighting Hatton...or maybe trinidad at 160 (as Mayweather had said he wants I believe)
Yep. If i were managing Mayweather i'd set up a string of fights with Mosley, then Cotto, then maybe Hatton.
If mayweatehr truely wants to be remembered as an all time great he has to beat: Cotto, Mosley Margo/williams, hatton.
If he beats all of them then he should be considered as a truely GREAT fighter.
I say Mosley(Prolly a borefest)but interesting.
Then Cotto. I disagree that Cotto needs another name on his resume. He is legit. He has proven he isn't afraid of getting hit in order to hit the other guy and that speels trouble for Mayweather.
Hattons work rate and pressure also spell trouble for Mayweather.
Floyd really is in a shitty position. The public knows he has dodged the meaningful fights-now it's time to put up or stay retired and shut up!!!
Call it a gut feeling but i'll bet my ass when Floyd does return- It won't be against anyone on your list!!!
mosley. thats the best fight out of all these. the other two aint really no match imo.

Hatton or Mosely would be the most likely opponent. Either fight would bring in a lot of money. I agree with -Antonio- that Cotto probably needs one more big fight to establish his name with the casual fans, but he is definitely the next in line.
Andre Berto is an exciting prospect but is still a few fights away.
