Is he getting shaken up or are they just flash KDs?
The oldies aren't going to get any more active with age so I'd imagine he'd be able to see them off on work rate alone if he's as good as people say. Hopkins would obviously make it tough for him though.
I guess you could call the last one a flash KD, but it was a clean hard right hand, not a fluke. He seemed in control of his sense and he responded well. After that he he hugged a bunch, but not out of desperation. He packed it in and gave away the last couple rounds.
The problem is Dawson gets knocked down in the fight (I think tenth round, after sweeping the first nine). He was also knocked down in his previous fight, so there may be a problem there.
But he could be undefeated longer than the rest of the guys on this list, because he's not going to fight Calzaghe and I don't see the senior citizens at 175 beating him.

I rate Dawson, yes.
I'm not a fan of Bute; he looked good in some clips I saw but the Bika performance was less than I hoped for.
Dawson's performance against Adamek is still top performance of the year, in my opinion, with the possible exception of Pavlik's against Miranda. But Adamek is comparatively slow. It's hard for me to picture a Calzaghe-Dawson fight. But it's the one that doesn't seem like an obvious beatdown.
Bute's always looked good when I've seen him. I've not caught the Bika fight yet but he's a horrible opponent for most fighters, I'd say.
I'll stick the Adamek fight on my list.

Funk how do you think Dawson would do against Calzaghe? I think that's the one fight ole Joe could lose.
He did cross my mind as I was posting that.
TBH, I've been a bit shit at acquainting myself with some of the prospects recently (been working like a dog and seem to have a stag party or wedding to go to every other weekend) so I've only seen a little bit of Chad and can't really form an opinion on him yet. I keep hearing good things about him and he looked promising from the clip that I saw. Can't remember who he was fighting though.
I need to see a bit more of Bute and the kid at LWW too. Bute's another one who could potentially take Cal's "0" if the timing's right.
You rate Dawson then?
knew i shouldnt have put the cunt in
Hehe. Sorry mate, missed that bit of your post.
There's nobody between 160 and 175 that I think would beat him, so I'd have said JC regardless of his age.
I'd have gone with Guzman too if he didn't have Pac looming. The fight's too close to call for me to choose him.
i think cottos will go eventually because he is in a packed division and his chin is a bit suss
havent seen a whole heap of guzman but i think his will go to pac. i think katsidis would have taken it if guzman didnt pull out of their fight.
hatton has been far from impressive against second tier fighters lately. once he fights an elite he will be gone
kessler has the potential to hold his for a while and reign over the SMWs for a time once joe goes.. but he doesnt seem to want to fight bums n e more and there's always danger against top comp.
taylor's 0 has had more lives than a cat.. its got to go
lol i was actually glad u didnt put Mayweather in this vote because then you would have gotten 600 replies on him but the thread would not be as cool as it is now.
edit: you know u put taylor on twice?
of course i knew that
no thats a lie. my bad. i dont think either taylor will get a vote tho.
Kessler has a good chance because he can handle speed, has boxing ability and can pack a punch.
But since Joe will never leave the UK, I think it might be Joe.

yeah i love darcinyan obviously.. and i dont think he'll lose to n e one in his weight division.. but he's hungry for real fights so he'll go up soon and his lack of defence will catch up with him. imo.
although he does have an iron chin to go with his power so who knows.
I say Darchinyan because I don't think anyone at his weight can beat him. And it appears like Pong dont want to fight him so that was the only guy I thought would stand a chance. Other then him all the other guys have too many other good fighters near their weight class. I would say the second to last guy to lose it would be Calzaghe and then prolly Hatton if he gets by Castillo. I think Guzman might lose if he fights one of the killers and Juan Diaz would lose if he fought someone like Casa.
i voted diaz. he is young and in my opinion a pretty clear front runner in the lightweight division. on that note katsidis is my favourite fighter and i do give him a real chance of pulling off the upset
