Every week I see articles and interviews with Hatton talking about Mayweather but not as much talk about his opponent.
With all this talk from Hatton about Mayweather, is he looking past Castillo?
Malignaggi stated that Castillo is not a tough fight anymore. If Hatton were to believe this, he may be in for quite a surprise. Castillo has been in some big wars and most likely it will eventually take its toll, but he probably has enough left for Hatton.
Anyone who overlook Castillo dont know shit about Boxing :boxing:

I dont think hes overlooking him we the public are just getting news thru a filter that is pushing for a big showdown between Hatton and MAyweather so all these comments are magnified. I do think Hatton is underating Castillo's ability to move and box and counter and adapt to differnt fighting styles. Hatton gives me the impression that he thinks Castillo is a one dimensional fighter a brawler without much boxing skill. If This is his opinion and he has been training as such he will be rather shocked come Saturday.
There seems to be a lot of talk by Hatton focusing on Floyd, but Im sure he isn't looking past Castillo. He would be a fool if he did. Plus I think once he steps in that ring it will be all business. I would like to see Castillo win myself, but I have a feeling Ricky will win a UD.
I think hatton hand picked castillo cause he feels castillo is a faded warrior!!! I hope he gets his butt kick for looking past castillo!!! Castillo is a legend Hatton can only dream of being one!!!
He is thinking of Castillo but I feel he may be thinking of a fight with Mayweather a bit too much.
Some fighters when training for a fight and asked about a potential future opponent, they say We'll see what happens but I can't think of that too much yet, right now I'm focusing on beating this guy. Hatton for example, in a very recent interview, said this:
'"I don't think Mayweather will retire because he wants to be remembered as an all-time great, but to do that he has still got to do something a little bit more. As far as talent and boxing ability goes he is second to none but in terms of excitement I haven't seen Mayweather in one good fight yet. He has got very negative as he has got older..."
"In 10 to 15 years' time when you're a fight historian and you look on that shelf where all the great fights are, are you going to reach for a Floyd Mayweather video? I think Floyd is a far better fighter than Arturo Gatti but I think people will be watching Arturo Gatti's fights for long after they will be watching Mayweather's. He just never gets me on the edge of my seat," Hatton said. "I'm not bothered about being remembered as the greatest of all time but I want people to watch my fights in years to come and say, there was a guy who could really fight."
Just seems to be hes talking a bit too much about Mayweather. I still predict him to beat Castillo but think he could certainly be thinking about his current fight more (or so it appears, who knows). Just a thought.
Every interview I read he goes on about how Castillo is one of the best pound for pound fighters in the world and how neither of them takes a step backwards and how he likes guys who come forward. Then he might talk about fighting Mayweather.
I don't think he's overlooking Castillo.
