damnit!! I was sure he was gonna win.... he recieved his first real loss of his career.
where should he go from here? I think he needs to stay active and get a fight soon
damn :(
Thats funny, because the anime you have as your avatar doesn't have any boring anime boxers on it. Hypocrite
what does his av have to do with anything? its a fucking cartoon show...
dirrell should be banned from hbo. He can be happy all he wants about his win, but assholes like that destroy boxing and make it into a boring sport. Neither fighter really threw anything. In my eyes neither fighter won that night.
I disagree with this post.
Stevens threw about 80-100 haymakers that would've ended the fight had they landed. Dirrell fought defensive but you do what you gotta do to win. Blame Stevens for not being able to cut off the ring and headhunting, and Dirrell props for staying focused enough to not get caught all ten rounds.
Boxing = hit and not get hit, not rock'em sock'em robots.
Stevens needs to get out of the Super Middleweight division if possible. His height is a detriment to him. If he would use more head movement to get inside ala Tyson, then maybe he could compete; but he would still have problems. Maybe dropping down to Middleweight or even Jr. Middleweight if possible. But I dont think he's capable of doing it, physically and mentally.

whatever he does keep it away from a TV set. I thought he was sloppy and very untalented.
He punches like a mule though.
If he gets a good trainer to teach him how to cut the ring off and set traps for opponents, and a jab, then id watch him.
He was exciting when he was fighting bums but... thats about it...
