Let's be honest. Unification is not going to happen. So having both Wlad and Vitali champions will not be bad for the sport because no one is unifying right now anyway.
I believe that unification can occur if the following scenario plays out:
Sam Peter defeats Oleg Maskaev for the WBC title and he is mandated to fight Vitali. If Vitali loses to Mccline, the loss may put this in jeopady which makes way for a "super fight" with IBF champ Wlad Klitschko.
However, best case scenario is, if Peter beats Maskaev, then beats Vitali. This would be motivate Wlad to avenge his brother's loss while unifying the IBF-WBC titles. And everyone involved would stand to make an obscene amount of money....
But, we all know that 'best case scenarios' rarely happen in boxing. Hey, it's good to dream sometimes..
I wouldn't mind seeing Vitali upset by Mccline; I think that one Klitschko, Wlad, is enough for the division. If Vitali gets his hands on one of the belts, obviously unification is less likely.

Yeah, I don't think that this will be a 'bore-feast.'...Best case scenario is that Mccline makes it a fight and gives Vitali some good rounds before Vitali throws down the 'steel hammer.' Worst case scenario is that Vitali blows out Mccline in a couple of rounds. In any case, I see this as an entertaining bout.
Steel Hammer is Wlad.
Vitali is - Iron Fist :D
......I think Wlad's fights are pretty damned exciting and so are his brothers. Someone is getting knocked out and isn't that what it's all about?

i will agree right now that the klitschko brother are probably the most exciting heavyweights currently, but they are subjected to fighting guys that aren't exciting, which doesn't always make an exciting fight......but as of now wlad and vit do create action.............

it's a shit fight, it's going to be like wlad-mccline, dud.......................
mccline is going to fold like he always does, but will this fight even happen is the question? will vitali get hurt in training again and again?
i will say if it does go down, at least vitali presses action and makes guys fight and from coming off a long layoff taking on a active mccline is a tougher than usual challenge. but i have zero faith in any and all heavyweights right now, so i expect the fight to be a stinker with vitali trying to get the rust off and mccline trying to not get ko'd.
i was just saying yesterday after watching that snooze fest rahman fight, that heavyweights shouldn't be aired on TV anymore until they actually start making exciting fights. because heavyweight fights are about just as bad as watching some UFC guys locked up in some holds doing nothing on the ground!!!!! boring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I personally think that Vitali is gonna come out slow and get some work in. It will probably go atleast 9 rounds.
That's always a possibility, but at his age, I'm betting he'll want this (and every other fight he has) to be over PDQ.
Four rounds max, might only go one or two. Vitali will come in banging and put McCline on the canvas at least twice in the first round. He'll want to put on a show for his comeback. And McCline is hittable, and very susceptible to a hook off a jab, of which Klitchko has a nasty version. It travels about 6", and has enough behind it to KO a mule. Remember when he caught Williams with it? Looked like he'd been smacked with a baseball bat.
Duplicate thread, duplicate thread...:welcome: :buttkick: Soprano, why don't you act like you've been here before?

......I just hope Jameel comes to fight and gives big Vit some good work. He will be better prepared to give Peter a beating if Big Time stays in there for 8-9 rounds.
You cant really complain about vitali choosing mccline compared to the quality of opponents other fighers take for their come back. Still vitali should destroy him
What do you think about Vitali picking Big Time as his tune up fight?
Should have he fought someone else? If so, in your oppinion, who?
I think its a Pretty good move By Vitali and his team.. McLine is dangerous BUT NOT too dangerous.. He is Big and has decently fast hands.. But he is nothing special.. A perfect tune up after a 2 year lay off..
Unless Vitali got completely old since the last time we saw him.. I predict an not TOO easy TKO sometime around rounds 7-10
