Cotto forces you to fight when you don't want to fight," Malignaggi said. "He'll head-butt you, rough you up, do whatever he has to do to get you off your game.
were not takin anythin away from cotto.. but cotto is a straight up dirty fighter.
right...so....? Are people arguing that fact? I don't see what that has to do with anything.
Why does this thread exist? If judah felt the low blows affected him that much, he should've thrown some himself (and he did).
If Malignaggi felt that being foul is what was winning cotto the fight, then he should've been foul right back.
You keep the playing field even at all times. If the ref lets him get away with it, then he should let you get away with it too. That's boxing 101!
Talent is overrated then...Cause EVEN BALDOMIR beat Judah's "talented" ass. Heart is not a talent...that shyt is from within. It can't be cultivated. Judah is fast....he is fast. Bout it.
Talent isn't overrated, it can be misused and undercultivated I.E not throwing that left which kept stopping him and put the hole in his lip. Dont think Cotto wasnt hurt, he's just very poised but that 2nd lowblow came after another left uppercut which put a hole in his lip. I didn't know what the case was until they showed Cotto in his corner before the 4th round. That showed me how poised he was, from now on Cotto is the Professional killer of Boxing. We know what he'll do if he needs to. He'll hit you low and then hug you and apologise, then do it again!
Judah has skill, heart, and the talent which is his powerful left and ultra handspeed....but he needs a new corner, he blows past you if your not elite but falls a little behind if you are...signs he needs a new gameplan and mainly a new trainer.
Now the main thing I learned from the Judah - Cotto fight is....Focus and Determination will beat talent and skill on it's best night, especially if focuse and determination has a good plan.
In other words, Cotto is a Boxer and not a golfer.
"he'll force you to fight" < In other words, he will leave you lumped and talkin shit from the comfort of your home. Paulie, I watched your beatdown... It was clean punches to the guido. Clean. Fake Gotti boy...haha
Your cheeks don't swell up like that from just a punch. A lot of that was Cottos head butts though... Your bieng biased if you won't admit it. Go back and look at the fight and see how many times he got hit with Cotto's head.
Cotto is a real fighter, he fights! It gets a little bit rough sumtimes but i Definatley wouldnt call him a dirty fighter. The head butts werent his fault against Judah, not saying they were Zab's either but u cant blame a guy just coz he comes out better when heads clash! Paulie fought a good fight against Cotto, he toughed it out like a man, even if he did hold alot near the end. That fight was his welcoming to top flight boxing - Get used to it bitch!
I do not agree that Judah initiated the headbutt that cut his eye. Maybe I need to see it again, because that did not look like what happened to me.
I think some objectivity is in order here. Now, taking nothing away from Miguel. He fought a hell of a fight. Period. But, you can not negate bad behaviors in defense of someone's vicory. He was without a doubt victorious, and I am not sure whether the low blows and headbutts were to blame, because IMO, Judah came out strong. But, doesn't he awlays.
Fact of the matter is, Cotto used a few dirty tactics. I can not say that I feel sorry for Judah because he has been known to use a few himself. IMO, he did not in this fight and there's no reason to insinuate or even accuse him of such to further drive a point that Cotto's were or were not, accidental or deserved. Cotto used a few dirty tactics, and he won. Plain and simple.
Now, to underate him and say the dirty fighting was a the reason he won, no one can determine because he won. Period. Maybe Judah would have won if he had not been hit twice in the dick. (Pardon my French.) Who knows but IMO, Judah's head was not right and he was not prepared for the fight. That would lose any fight. Low blows or not.
Wtf
After watching the Judah fight it's pretty obvious that Miguel Cotto is a Dirty Fighter. BUt alot of the greats are Dirty Fighters, Bernard is the best and one of my favorites. I didn't like the fact that Cotto was fighting Dirty and Zab was not allowed to and was being harrassed for clinching...which to me is more legal than low blows....Cotto will eventually have to meet Judah again and he wont be able to get away with that shit twice...much love to Cotto but it's obvious he's not as talented as Zab
Man Judah got murder by a better fighter no one else has ever done that to Judah before. Cotto will keep proving all the haterz wrong over and over when will you guys give him credit after he beats mosley, margarito ect.. there will always be an excuse to why.

Look at the fight again and you'll see the headbutts were initiated by Judah. Not saying there where intentional or not but it was from Judah coming with his head. Even the headbutt that caused Judah's cut was initiated by Judah.
The cut on Cotto's lip was also caused by a headbutt at 2:04 in the 3rd round.
Alien has also shown footage of Zab hitting Cotto right in the jewels at least once. Difference is Cotto didn't react to it. I'm not saying Judah acted or that he wasn't geneuinely hurt.
All I'm saying is that the same rough shit was going on both ways. Judah aint no damn victim here.
thanks for not swaring up a storm at me.....lol.....i was like damn? what did i say that he freaked?.....i know what u are saying, especially guys that move alot on the inside clash heads (like evander, but i do think sometimes his are intentional)& in every fight there stuff the ref just doesn't catch, so i see your point.....by the way, any man who has roberto duran on his post always gets my respect for his opinion......now that guys an animal
the way one speaks tells u volumes about there intelligence.....so i hope u are sitting down, because ur "F'ing this & F'ing" that tells me all i need to know....sorry if i hit a nerve about cotto....lol
& sorry i didn't get to follow up after the fight or follow boxing or cotto for a while, unlike some people i guess......I HAD THINGS TO DO......
and if u want homework do yours.....they have spoon fed cotto guys that have pillows in there fists for a reason the last what....2 yrs?.....took a chance (that could have back fired w/ zab) b/c of zab's questionable chin & the fact zab hasn't fought in a yr, unless u count the half rd on espn)....
ahhh who we kidding, intentional or unintentional, the head but & low blows definately didn't help zab. i'm sure they would have been a factor if it were the other way around, definately hurt cotto....
& paulie's broken orbital bone was a big factor than cotto's hand
(a boxers fracture many times only requires a splint not a cast, not a serious injury)

Mali needs to quit complaining! I saw that jaw! Cotto is an extremely aggressive fighter, who does whats nessassary to win. Cotto had to press mali so mali would open up! When he did open up that jaw and cheek got destroyed.
Cotto forces you to fight when you don't want to fight," Malignaggi said.
Poor Paulie, did he force you to do things you didn't want to do? Fuckin homo!! :crying:
Why do you argue about shiet you know nothing about?
You know shiet about Miguel Cotto so how the fuck are you going to know wether his hand was broken.
He was put in a cast right after.
He sufferd a boxers fracture.
I bet you don't even know what that is?
Do your fucking homework before you open your fucking mouth.
Post facts and truths. Not fucking lame assumptions.
Don't you feel stupid?
Stupidity is not a feeling but .......
Anyway.. Sit the fuck down.

taken out of context. He had good things to say and was comlimenting his agressiveness.
He fought a Cotto with a damaged hand. He won't "get by" next time. But I sense he will NEVER fight Cotto again. Especially not at 147
no way....& alot of guys fight (& WIN) w/ a hurt, broken hand.....i don't think his hand was broken, don't remember seeing a cast on it, not sure.....seen paulie w/ a few casts on his hands a few times, so we know he has bad hands....
& he did more than get by....if he didn't get INJURED early, he just might have boxed cotto's ears off
like the announcers said, the swelling & blood made it look worse than it was, everyone agreed he held his own.....INCLUDING COTTO
i also love how the bad hands & weight issues are valid arguements as to why a fighter may not have performed as well, or even lose....but never good enough reason for other fighters
