The only thing I have to say about floyd's retirement is that I wished he would have fought the other fighters in his division. He still left on a good note but it would even been better for his legacy if he beat the other welterweights and unified the division. There are not too many fighters in history who have done that. Floyd isnt getting any younger and fighting the "omg cotto won fight cotto!!!" "omg hatton won fight hatton!!!" isnt exactly making him nearly as much as fighting Oscar. Oscar is the biggest draw, no doubt. And at 30, you don't have many more good fights in you. The first fight was close, Oscar did very well the first half of the match (altough he didnt land as much he was landing harder punches) but thats another thread. Other than that he will stay retired. Not even Mosley was able to move him from the couch... now let the man be. jesus... Very well put but he's still a bitch and would make a better Track runner. People didn't like Roy Jones Jr. when he was the best fighter and now people don't like Floyd Mayweather Jr. as the best fighter. In my opinion your a great fighter if you won titles from 130-154. And its not like Floyd Mayweather has beaten a whole bunch of no name journeymen fighters. Guys like Judah and DLH are not be Ray Robinsons but they are top notch fighters. I think its human nature for people to dislike a person who seems invincible at what they do. I bet if Floyd lost he would become more popular... Roy Jones was and still is very popular there were just a few people that didn't like his unorthodox style. You can't compare F@gweather to Jones, Jones went toe to toe w/ elite fighters in their prime or coming into it and he never ran.
