Anyway, about THIS fight, what many Cotto fans seem to forget is first off i'm of Basque blood, but most important i'm 100% United States American. and yeah when it comes to a disrespecting punk ass clown like zab judah, there is no way in hell i would let that guy represent me. the guy has no class and doesn't represent anything good about the USA. there have been only a couple of times when zab seems redeemable and then he goes and says something completely stupid or does something completely stupid. as much as i do root for my countries fighters, if they're assholes they're assholes who don't get any of my support. maybe if zab was more of a positive example in the sport and would conduct himself as a professional, but for the most part he's proved other wise more than once. a) Zab had 2 minutes in a ring in the last entire year (although he wanted the fight, not very bright, would Cotto take a fight in that situation? no, cotto needs to be "ready" which means 90% chance to win, that boxing nowadays right there) no one put a gun to judahs head first off, he was looking for the biggest payday available, that is also why he wants a rematch it's the biggest fight he can get if he gets it, other than that he aint got shit, and secondly why was judah so confident and talking all sorts of unnecessary shit. saying cotto isnt on his level and that zab is the best in the world at that weight. and cotto was a little boy fighting a man. and saying that cotto was one dimensional and a robot????? if he wasn't ready for the fight why talk shit, why take the fight. zab had just as much time to train as cotto, and as for the layoff, if he wasn't ready why take the fight and why say you are king shit in the division??? you argument doesn't hold any water................ b) Cotto surgically hit Zab low the two times he was hurt and would go down.. Low blows in boxing happen rarely! Zab did it vs mayweather on rage. Cotto was cold about it. He had perfect timming to. Accidental. Right.... if you know anything about the physics of fighting, you would then know that one the first low blow reaction from zab was over exaggerated, if that punch landed on anyone who isnt a trained fighter then i could see someone rolling on the ground like that. that punch didn't hit him in the nuts it hit him right below the belt, where the belt of the cup is, and zab's mid section is trained, he can take a punch there, he was trying to get sympathy. i'm not saying it didn't hurt, ic) Everytime Zab connected in the first 3 rounds, Cotto was rocked which happened exactly 2 times, due to point a) that i can give to zab he did rock cotto, but he didn't drop him and he didn't get him out of there, also he let every opportunity slip through his hands when he did have cotto hurt, and he let every opportunity slip by when he had more than enough openings to hit cotto with the left. zab couldn't pull the trigger........................... and what about the props to cotto surviving that and coming out on top??? yeah...... and what about zab trying to make the excuse that the ref messed up his fight, and saying that the only reason he had a cut was due to cotto head butting, but all you could hear was the ref telling zab to stop with his elbows, stop holding, and watch his head. and what about the excuse that he took the knee not because he was hurt, but because he couldn't see. well he could see enough to know that cotto was going to come in and clean his clock if he didn't take a knee. what a jokester............................................................................. Congrats 100% to Cotto's management for not being DUMB and giving their fighter the right fights. Boo to Zab's management for being DUMB and letting Zab destroy his career. Definately, Miguel proved himself to be tougher and more skilled than probably many, many people thought.. He took his supporters on a roller coaster ride - and then he delivered. Cotto is shockingly strong at that weight. As far as the gambling thing there wasn't much time for shopping.. But 310 would have been nice. Where did you see that? Did you bet on this? Nah, I bet a good deal on sports but not on this fight. The line was not indicative of the risk. IMO the line was way to in-favor of Cotto when I only had him as a slight favorite. Even parlaying it with a KO or an over-under was too unpredictable. I have a few sites I bet with and also a couple of bookies that I know. I bet a lot but max myself at $500 a fight. The thing to study is how lines move. The timing of a bet is very important and can a bet 7days from event and day of event can be quite significant. Oh, forgot I did have an even money bet of $100 with a friend.

I wanted Zab to win and believed he really could. I'm not suprised by the result though. I was suprised that... 1. Zab rocked Cotto a number of times 2. The low blows DAYUM on the 2nd one 3. Bitch-ass referee 4. Zab's eye lookin FUCKED UP I expected a very good fight but not all that blood, and both guys getting cut. A true brutal fight. I have to give it up to both guys. I wanted Zab to win(anybody here that knows me knows I'm a Judah fan) but knew he wouldn't. I went by what I knew, I knew that Zab Judah always starts off great then slows down as the fight goes on. Everybody knows that since the Baldomir/Mayweather fights. I knew that if Zab followed that pattern(which he did, not as bad as in the past though, Zab did improve his stamina a little) that Cotto would punish him. I also looked at Zab's other big fights and its obvious to see that he usually falls short(accept against Spinks the second time). So thats why I picked Cotto by KO after the first couple of rounds, I was off by a little. Zab lasted long than I thought he would have, he did show heart in the fight.

I wanted Zab to win...but Cotto is a beast and I liked what I saw out of him, he was obviously a lot stronger then Zab...Zab wasnt as active as i wouldve liked though I will say that...Loved this fight, definitley one of the best ive seen all year.

I have to admit that i was hoping Zab was going to pull off the win!!! I knew from the start that this was going to be a tough fight for Zab!!! I take my hat off to Cotto!!! This was one of his best fights!!! I always followed both fighters careers hoping they wouldnt meet!!! But when they did i had to go with Zab due to the fact a loss on his record would effect his career more then it would Cotto!!! I would still like to see zab comeback from this loss!!!
