We found out one thing, Bobby Pacquiao is not Manny Pacquiao. I can't see Soto beating Manny, too much speed. It's a different animal with Pac-Man. But great move by Arum to set up that fight with his brother.
Soto got cought with a shot but wasnt hurt that bad like everyone is saying and everybody gets cought once in a while look at paquiao when he fought Larios.
i've seen the fight on TV and i was surprised that Bobby hurt him... everyone is entitled to an opinion...
I have the feeling that Pacquiao wont be fighting Soto yet as he said ..
I see Humberto Soto fighting JMM and become the new champ.. then is when ARUM is gonna make SOTO vs Pack..
A belt on the line with a good purse for both of them..:cop:
if Soto got buzzed by Bobby, i guess he's in trouble if he gets to face Pacman...

Soto got lucky cuz Bobby fought Soto's fight
Bobby needs to play to his strengths which is stick and move. Jab and box. Choosing to brawl at the wrong time with the wrong opponent is why Bobby loses some fights. Boxers are less inclined to box now because so many fight fans want to see a slug fest and the fighters give them what they went regardless if it is beneficial or not. I think boxing fans need to learn to appreciate the sweet science of boxing provided by current boxers such as Mayweather. A lot of good boxers are losing because they want to give the fans what they want. That's not smart for the fighter nor is it best for the sport to always give the blood hungry fans the type of fight they want. There are 3 types of boxers. Fighters that brawl, fighters that box, and fighters that can do both. Long time boxing fans like myself love the Apollo Creed type boxer that sticks and moves, utilizes the jab, and wears his opponent down. Although, I can still enjoy a good slugfest. I end with the following: To all fighters and potential fighters out there: No need to always please the crowd; JUST DO YOU PLAYA!.............and box....float like a butterfly sting like a bee!
I think people aren't giving this bobby the credit he deserves. He was a completely different and good fighter for this fight in comparison to other fights he has had. Probably surprised Soto who was trying to hard to stop Bobby early instead of sticking to a strict fight plan.
Manny P vs Humberto Soto will be highly competitive, and sure there is a high chance that Humberto Looses but Manny wont be leaving the ring unscathed. Manny Pacquiao is not without risk in fighting Soto he too can be hurt and Soto has the power and accuracy to do it.
One thing is for sure though FOTY 2007!!! if its made.
Yeah I hope this fight happens. I believe Soto is ready for this type of challenge. He's in his prime and should give Pac a tought fight. I would pick Pac to win, but Soto has a chance with his good boxing skills and staight and accurate punching. The only thing is that he leaves himself open sometimes and that usually isn't good against Pac.

Filipino superstar Manny Pacquiao, in an interview with ABS-CBN, has just accepted the challenge hurled to him by Mexican Humberto Soto who defeated his younger brother Bobby today at the Madison Square Garden.
Soto had knocked out Bobby Pacquiao in the seventh round after finding himself in dire straits especially in the fourth round when the younger Pacquiao unleashed several big right shots that staggered the highly-regarded Mexican.
'Tinatanggap ko yung hamon nya (Soto). Gusto ko syang kalabanin para malaman ko kung gaano talaga sya kalakas," said Pacquiao.
Top Rank promoter Bob Arum is planning to put Pacquiao's next fight either on September 15 in Las Vegas or October 6 in VAncouver, Canada.
According to popular Filipino promoter Rex 'Wakee' Salud, in a message from New York where he was at ringside for the Soto-Pacquiao fight, a possible Manny Pacquiao-Humberto Soto tiff is now '75 percent done.'
Am not blind but maybe you are..
SOTO already challenge Packy in several times.. is up to him to avenge his little brother who got pwned :owned:
PACMAN will kill ur avatar in 2 rounds!
The clip does show Manny's reaction.
That was a brutal finish. Soto is a real contender, but Bobby Pac was never going to be a challenge for the Mexican.
Pacman will Ko Soto. He sticks his chin out once to often and comes straight foward. Bobby is one thing but Manny is a different animal. I see Soto having his moments but being taken out in 8 rounds. PEace
You a blind man or what? The Sniper hurt Soto more than once...watch it again...
Soto may have looked great against Bobby but against Pac after seeing that performance I can tell you this early...he won't last 7 rounds...

This is the second time I have seen Soto fight and both times I have come away very impressed. Yeah Bobby caught him and stunned him, but he came back with a vengence. I am very impressed with how straight and accurate his punches are, plus he works to body very effectively as well. Also he is exciting to watch because he throws a good volume of punches and everyone of them are meant for bad intentions. I agree against Manny he may be in trouble with how he leaves himself open sometimes, but I think he could give him a good and exciting fight. There are many fights to make for Manny and I definitely wouldn't be dissapointed if Soto was he's next opponent.
