Do you guys think Zab is making an excuse saying that the low blows really hirt him after all the talk saying he will destroy Cotto and its a man vs boy fight
That second low blow was absolutely vicious. I think he should have taken more time to rest after it tho. I hate when fighters take more time then they should, but I don't think ANYONE with a pair of balls would hold it against him if he took more time. Because I also hate when fighters make excuses. I knew after that and if he lost it would be the first thing he blamed, and it was. And, it looked like Cotto's head was pushed down as he threw the punch, thats why it landed low. Manny even pointed this out at the end. Can't really say its intentional IMO.
zab makes excuses after every single one of his losses, he lives in nothing but denial, which is one of many reasons why i don't like zab judah.
i was saying the same thing during the fight, i was telling my friends, if zab loses he's going to blame the fighti on the low blows, which the first low blow was a hard shot below the belt, which hurts but not how zab was acting, and the second low blow was due to zab pulling cotto's head down and jumping back at teh same time; you pull a guys head down while he's trying to throw a shot to the body, especially an uppercut, he's going to land low, plain and simple, watch the tape if you disagree.............peace.
So you are saying Zab wanted to get hit in the nuts so he can have an excuse? Whatever man. Cotto is a cheater. Just like Vargas and Hatton.
All I can say is , fights like this are what boxing is all about. There's very few fights where two in their prime fighters take on each other. Zab may or may not have been slowed down by the nut shots but one thing for certain it was a hell of a fight!
Of course Zab is making an excuse.
Going into this fight, I really thought that Zab would of put on a better performance, considering this was pretty much a career ending fight for him as a top fighter.
He's not an idiot, he knows his career is now over, and will say anything to salvage it.
If the rematch happens (which I don't think it should), Cotto will kick his ass again.
Zab has never been consitent in any of his fights, Cotto has. In the end, Cotto was going to win
Zab was against De Marcus Corley!!! I dont think it was an excuse!!! Mario Lopez needs to be put in the ring with Cotto so he can punch him in the nuts and see if he reacts better then zab!!!

i think zab had that excuse in his head right after the second one landed and thats why he lsot the fight

Zab always has an excuss. He should have beat Cotto easliy, but as soon as he gets hurt,he justs quit like he did against mayweather.
If you saw a quitter tonight, you were not watching Cotto vs Judah. That was a blood and guts war and boxing fans got a very special treat tonight from two warriors. Zab has nothing to be ashamed of tonight. Cotto gets props from me as well....
In the post interview, Zab said the low blow affected him but he didn't wanna use that as an excuse and said Cotto is a good fighter. Of course, 90% of the people here in the forums (including me) are not boxers, but when you get punched in the balls...especially from someone with the strength of Cotto, that would turn most men into women.
Judah is easily distracted. Punching a man in the nuts when you are in trouble is an old trick boxers have been using for over a 100 years. It is nothing new. The problem is Judah can't focus for 12 rounds on what he has to do.
