I think Marvis could've had a career, but it would've had to been at cruiserweights.Guys like Witherspoon, Page, and Coetzee would've committed murder if they fought Marvis.Him and Leon Spinks had the potential of being a classic.

It kind of reminds me of the way David Reid was rushed along so fast. I know he had some titles, unlike Marvis, but putting Reid in with Trinidad was way too early in my opinon, Reid only had 14 fights at the time.

As far as i remember he beat some pretty decent fighters during his time i.e. James Smith, Jose Ribalta, James Tillis. However, he was never going to be a test for Tyson or Holmes, but i'm sure he won't be ashamed to tell anyone that the only losses on his career record came against two great fighters.

one thing that impressed me is that he slipped 5 of holmes' jabs in a row unfortunately he was a natural cruiser fighting heavies and a natural boxer fighting his daddies style.
