An as englishman i couldn't believe it when i was informed the following fights were on PPV.
Virgil Hill vs Henry Maske 2
Anthony Bonsate vs John Duddy
Evander Holyfield vs Lou Savarese
Why do you americans put up with this garbage?
Doesn't the 1st amendment protect you guys against PPV's like this?
Your thoughts on the worst ever PPV'S please.
Boxing: DLH/PM
This was supposed to be "The Fight To Save Boxing". Yet what did DLH do? He put up two C level fights and went into a 12 round fencing match. No offense to fencing.
While I don't doubt there was a technical edge to it, did it "Save Boxing"? Not really.
It came nowhere near Saving Boxing. It just continued the visious circle.
MMA (if it's ok to add): DYNAMITE USA!!
God. Talk about cultural ignorance. This show was one big clusterfuck. FEG forgets to send the finacial data as well as medicals until a week before the event. Showtime and Pro Elite offer to put them on their liscence and K-1 refuses. CSAC throws around it's power and half the roster is gone due to undisclosed reasons. And on top of that, K-1 holds the event in the LA Colleseam. Talk about arrogance. Sheer arrogance. Bad production, bad refing...I need a beer now.
What makes the whole thing totally surreal is that the event MADE money.
Did it make money?
I'd say yes...a lot of money as a lot of people wanted to watch it.
That means it was worth Duddy's Team putting it on PPV.
What? get me the numbers, if that fight did good numbers, some good k coming your way.
Infact ill give you some good k anyways for not crying about it
PPV?, You expect people to pay to watch duddy?
PPV should be for big money fights, de la hoya, mayweather, and the like, duddy?, duddy is a prospect, he shouldnt be headlining ppv's at this stage in his carrer, especially against a bum like bonsante.

That wasn't a PPV card. But, it could have been on paper a worthy PPV .
I know now, this guy told me. vvvvMorales-Raheem was actually over the air HBo along with Pacquaio-Velasquez. I'm going in person to Morales-Diaz in August so hopefully Erik has something left and will be worth being on his last PPV
correct me if i was worng but wasnt larry holmes vs butterbean a ppv.if thats the case then thats my choice for worst ppv
You didnt buy that one did you?
Thats a shocker, did they really put that on PPV?
You have human rights you know? i think you guys should exercise them, that PPV is in breach of basic human rights.
Barrera v.s Fana was bad. Morales v.s Raheem was bad too not the worst but quite possibly one of the worst Morales fights ever just boring. Mayweather baldomir not the worst but pretty bad in the entertainment it had.

Tyson spinks...just cause of the hype of 2 undefeated champs and one looked like a CHUMP.
Duddy has a lot of support in the States.
Why not put his fight PPV?
I'm sure it paid off and a lot of money was made.
And as for anyone paying to see the fight...why not!
If you support Duddy then you'll want to see him fight.Turned out a decent fight too.

i remember staying up to watch tyson vs holyfied 2 (4am in the UK) that was the worst ppv ive ever seen. Especially as i wanted to see Evander knocked out.
My worst PPV purchase of all time is Paul Spadafora vs. Dennis Holebek-what the fuck was I thinking!
This past weekends Briggs v. Ibragimov fight was pretty disgusting as well...after the fight my wife looked at me and said "we paid 30 bucks for that shit?"
I didnt have a combeack, I just said oops.
Anyone who bought that duddy-bonsante PPV should give the Samaritians a call.

Yep that Duddy/Bonsante PPV totally spat on recent PPVs like spinks/taylor and Briggs/Igbragimov but i agree it shouldn't have been a PPV.
Honestly, there are hardly any boxers worth paying to see nowadays.
