Peter vs. Wlad II will not happen because Peter will get knocked out by Vitali, unless Maskaev wins UD against him (unlikely but possible).
....Yep, if big Vit stays healthy he will put Peter face down on the canvas. Sam will get a savage beating and never make it back to Wlad.
Sam Peter.I think thats all.
think or hope? considering wlad beat him when he was still a mental mess its hard to figure peter taking him now when wlad has improved vastly
I disagree,m I thought he looked like an improved fighter in the rematch against James Toney. I think his first fight against Toney taught him some valuable lessons that will be important for him to become champion. I think he could KO Wlad this time around if they fight. It will be interesting to see him fight Vitali should he get by Maskaev.
toney aint shit and he wasnt shit when they fought the first time and second, toney won the first fight clearly to me
Wlad isn't heavy handed. He packs some power punches that are consistant and accurate. Peter is just naturally packing heavy hands though. Wlad still has to be careful engaging Peter too often with his China chin. If he throws too many trying to swing for the fences and gets caught it can be lights out quickly.
Klitschko is the most talented and has the most powerfull punch in the division, a smart fighter like Wlad would be stupid to get hit with those round house punches that Peter throws cause you could see those coming. I have a feeling that this fight will be unification bout soon...
wlad though he won that fight looked befuddled.. i doubt he would ever fight peter again untill peter slows down
....You look "befuddled" every single time you post.
If Peter defeats Maskaev and wins the WBC title, and Vitali stays retired, then Wlad will be more than willing - in fact eager - to fight Peter and take his title.

....I disagree that he has a China chin. Peter caught him flush a couple of times in the first fight with no effect. He did do some damage with the rabbit punches but I think we both know that's not legit damage and any kind of exposing of Wlad's "weak" chin. Wlad's right, when he really turns it loose, is probably more powerful than that clubbing shit of Peters. Wlad has ended many a fight with that right hand. Wlad sits at a 90% KO ratio and Peter is at 79%. I think his power is more than a bit overated. In a second fight Wlad will sit down on his punches more because he hurt Peter when he didn't even fully commit in the first fight. Wlady by KO in the rematch.
wlad wont fight peter again its too dangerous
I think its the other way around. peter and his people will keep peter away from wlad. they remember that last round and how much wlad has improved since then. they sure as hells havent been pushing for a rematch
I voted for Wlad by decision. He's much more confident now then he was in the first fight, but he's still very cautious. It took 8 rounds for Wladimir's right hands to even back Peter up a little. I think the fight will look like the first one, more or less.
I'd pick Wlad by early KO. 3rd or 2nd, probably. Once he started throwing rights, they were landing like nukes (and sounded like them). If Peter had a smaller neck, he'd have been KO'd after the first one. I think Manny will train Wlad set him up with a couple of hooks off a jab, followed by a freight-train right and KO Peter early.

Wlad is EXTREMELY heavy handed, and has right-hand power that compares with some of the heaviest hitters in boxing history. He doesn't pack the wallop that Foreman and Shavers did, but he ain't far from it. Peter has lots of power, but not to the degree that Klitchko does.
I knew somebody would bring up the Toney fights. These were cases of Toney looking less and less impressive than it was of Peter showing me anything. He still lacks some of the fundamental skills I feel he is required to have to beat Wlad. I still enjoy watching him fight though.
I agree with this post. so many that dont understand boxing well seem to think peter turned into a complete fighter in 1 fight,,,LOL. toney just simply went downhill and gave peter a very easy fight to look good in plus peter was simply too heavy in the first fight. peter will always be dangerous because of his chin and tremendous physical strength but he just doesnt have the talent to be anything more than a raw clubber

In all honesty I loved their first fight. Peter to me hasn't shown any improvement since then so I would only feel it'd be more of the same. However... give a heavy handed fighter enough shots at somebody and sooner or later they'll get caught. So who knows?

Who wins this fight? This is probably the best fight that can be made a heavyweight right now. I'd love to see it...
wlad beat him when he was still a mental mess. he'd knock him out this time. I feel very confident on that one. even more so than this last joke of a fight with briggs
...Precisely why I say Wlad waxes him the next time out.
