I dont think it neccesarily WILL happen, but i think it could.
When Malignaggi was boxing, he was clearly outboxing Cotto. But malignaggi lacked the big fight experience to keep his composure and box. He was lured into a fight.
Judah said he was gonna box, And cotto lunges in with his punches and doesnt jab all the time.
Judah has some of the fastest hands in the game, and a mean punch. So even if cotto is dominating the fight, he could easily get caught.
Vice versa. If Judah is boxing dominantly and loses his focus, Cotto could land a big punch and get Judah in Trouble.
If Judah boxes, you think he could just run away with the fight?
How can you even take Spinks seriously. And against Mickey Ward!!! Maybe Spinks could outpoint Ward,a big maybe, more likely would get knocked out if Ward was in his prime. I don't care if he could outpoint Ward, Ward is still the better fighter.ward was a c-level fighter.
he didnt get near zab judah all night long it was embarrassing.
also ward said that judah would fade after rd 7 i think.
zab took round 7 off just to annoy ward, then went straight back to work.
spinks would of boxed his face off all night too.
and no, he wouldnt ko cause he wouldnt land enough. zabs ko of
spinks was a great ko, its not like taylor was able to repeat it and
hes a bigger, better fighter than ward with more power imo
He could but he won't.
Every fighter has a plan until he gets hit, and Judah is too mentally unstable and can't maintain his composure long enough to win a decision.
He'll start to see he can't outbox Cotto, who's very good at cutting the ring off, and will instead try to land a big punch and get clobbered on the way.
Only fighter I see maintaining his composure and sticking to his game plan for the full 12 rounds and thereby dominating Cotto is Mayweather.
haha i shouldnt make statements like that unless ive actually seen the fight (spinks taylor)
u may be right, but theres no denying that spinks>ward all day

You think?
And how Judah did against Mayweather has absolutely no bearing on how he'll do with Cotto, two polar opposite style fighters. Judah seems to do good against technical boxers that dont have alot of power. Spinks. And Mayweather was a very good fight for him apart from apart from the silliness toward the end of the fight.

blow him out if the water? no
knock him out? maybe...
i think it is going to be a good fight, I am going to say it is going to end in a stoppage.
Before 6 Judah wins.
After 6 Cotto wins.
ok, spinks is better than ward, as was proved when he beat big middleweight
champ jermaine taylor, yeah he didnt get the decision but we know he won.
he also dominated floyd mayweather for the frist 5rds before self destructing.
also id be interested to see how cotto would of fared against either floyd or cory.
personally i think hed get koed in 8 by floyd and decisioned easily by spinks.
alot easier than spinks did to zab in their first fight.

Blow him out NO! I disagree. Cotto and Judah both have weak jaws. Cotto's jaw much stronger then Judah's But Question is will Judah go in to box him. Judah cant beat Cotto at his game. Cotto gives some realy devastating body punches. I dont care who wins I'm not going for either of them. I'd just like to see a good fight because I AM A BOXING FANyeah, say that half way thru the fight.
were all BOXING FANS. or didnt you realise this is a forum for BOXING FANS.

Judah doesn't have the better chin. He was put on queer street by Baldomir. How many KOs does this guy have with over 50 bouts? What? 11 KOs? Cotto being rocked was blown outta proportion. He was hit on the back side of head behind the ear against Corley which would fuck up anyone's equilibrium getting hit back there, and Torres, cmon. Torres was what? At the time, 28 wins with 27 or 26 KOs? He was a knockout artist with fast hands. Of course Cotto would get rocked catching as many clean shots as he did against Torres. What you fail to realize is he never officially went down and stopped both guys. You can't say that about Judah.
I like to elaborate that Judah was knocked down by extremely featherfisted Corey Spinks. While both have the power to hurt each other, I think the speed could make the difference. That would obviously go to Zab, yet I still won't go against Cotto in this cause he is young and hungry. If Zab feels Cotto's power and gets out of his gameplan, Cotto will break down Zab all night until he folds. Zab's face will look like he came outta a meatgrinder by the end of the night if he don't stay down sooner. :ugh:
I love hearing the analytical breakdown on Cotto.. :lol1:
This is not the same fighter I have watched.
I really have no idea where people are getting this from.
I'm glad this debate will be over soon. :firedevil
Either man could very easily end up blowing the other out early. I'd say Cotto has the better chance, both him and Judah can be explosive, and both have power. Judah has the speed advantage, but it won't matter if he get's rocked early. I wish it wasnt a ppv, or at least a cheaper one.
personally, i cant see a guy who got hurt by baldy and knocked down by cory spinks holding up against cotto.personally i cant see a guy who got hurt by corley and knocked silly by ricardo torres holding up against zab judahs super left hook
I also think this will be one of Cotto's best outtings. He knows what's at stake. He stepping up in opposition & I personally don't believe that Judah will be able to hang in there with cotto for 12 rounds. Judah will be surprised by cotto's speed and power & boxing ability.
Lets see if Zab will still call him a "Robot" by the end of the night.
thats it, i'm going to get myself a real brown sport jacket (got the target one :nonono: ) and a thomas pink / pink shirt and sport that cotto look.
fuck you guys who are judging me for wanting a pink shirt.

i'll show you mercy and LOVE the morning of the 10th.
Lol. Truth be told though, I really don't know what will happen in this fight. Cotto looked impressive against Quintana and turned around and looked regular against Urkal. With Zab, you never know what your going to get. If we get the focused Zab, then he knocks Cotto out despite his body work. If Zab is unfocused and can't handle them body shots, then Cotto will prolly get the win. But since i can't straddle the fence, I'm picking Zab by KO. And I'll be on here June 10th celebrating with you and Deeznuts, and Robo and Knicksman.
you never know. anything's possible. christ, someone could shoot zab from the nosebleed seats, the ref doesnt notice and calls it a stoppage.
personally, i cant see a guy who got hurt by baldy and knocked down by cory spinks holding up against cotto.
what if its draw :p and people swing either way on the winner.
they should fight a 13th round to decide that shit.
if this is a big money fight i wouldnt be surprised.
I think Zab pulls the upset on June 9th. He has no choice but to win or he is done. He has way too much more to lose and he is the better boxer as far as skills go. Cotto struggled with the movement and handspeed of Paulie. Corley landed on him flushed and chin checked him, Torres outbombed for sec and chinchecked him. urkal had no problem finding his face neither. Cotto is a good lil fighter but I don't think he is elite and he'll have trouble once again with speed with a lil power to go with it. 8 rd Ko for Zab Judah...

could very well happen. i mean realistically speaking, anythings possible. i just feel that when zab hits miguel and miguel is still there digging away at his body and head and just staying in front of him, zab will start to feel the heat - and memories of baldomir, mayweather and his other loss will come back and he'll succumb to that time in his life when it was easier to lose and see the final bell rather than go all out and really try to win.
zab just doesn't have it in him, shit gets nasty how cotto likes it - and thats all for zab.
its a wrap for zab. i feel that THIS will be cotto's BEST performance. i'm not just saying that, his camp lists cotto just 2 weeks ago @ 7 lbs over the weight. his camp is strictly focused and i feel that on these boards, cotto will be thrust into a new light the morning of the 10th.
