Since we had polls on prospects like Berto, what are your thoughts on jr. middleweight prospect - Vanes "The Nightmare" Martirosyan ??
2004 US Olympian, now (13-0, 9KOs) :boxing:
- hasn't lost a round as a pro (total of 40 rounds thus far)

hard to call at this point bro...
Vanes and those 4 guys you have named are some of the TOP prospects in the world so cant take anything away from any of them.
It is too early for any of them to fight one another anyway. Give it another 2 years and you will see some great contender matchups, especially between Vanes and Berto.
out of all of those though, JCC Jr. has to be the weakest opposition for Vanes. I think he is more hype than anything else, I strongly believe if they fought right now, Vanes would knock him out.
but Joel Julio and Carlos Quitant are good test but i think both could beat Vanes right now but i dont know about the future
those propsect are very hard to say espically someone early in his career like Vanes
Who you think will win if they fought?
10 round bouts.
Vanes vs JCC jr
Vanes vs Amir khan
Vanes vs Andre Berto
Vanes vs Andre Ward

:bryce: :gives: :gives:
below is the 'pretender' rabbit punching
it looks like a rabbit punch but he was controlling through the whole fight
yea what he said co-sign
wake up buddy, learn about the future of the sport.
Vanes is widely regarded as the #1 jr. middleweight prospect in the world.
He is trained by Freddie Roach, managed by Shelly Finkel, and promoted by Bob Arum's TOP RANK.
Undefeated (13-0, 9KOs) also undefeated in the 40 pro rounds he has fought.
A 2004 US Olympian. 120-10 as an amateur.
if you havn't heard of Vanes Martirosyan yet, you will very soon.
he will be popular later right now these young prospects are maknig a rising in 3 years or even 5 we may see a super fight with him vs juli cesar chavez jr.
mexico vs Armenian American
that is actually very possible, especially since both Vanes and Chavez Jr. are promoted by TOP RANK / Bob Arum.
Let me give you a tip Vanes. Try opening a new sig when making threads about the Armenian boxers so you won't get flamed. :D
There's a lot weirdoes here who judges the threadstarter instead of the thread.
it doesnt bother me at all bro.
If it wasn't for me bein so close with Vanes and being a big part of his team, id probably never even post here.
I am here in most part to promote and talk about Vanes and other fighters who I have certain interest in. I can also bring alot of inside info that many have appreciated before...
for instance, Vanes will be sparring Bernard Hopkins at the WildCard next week and ill see if i can put up some pics/vids on it.
For those that dont like what I bring, FUCK THEM, and let them stay out of my way and out of my threads if it bugs them so much.
sorry for my bitchy comments... i jus had a hard day.. wish him the best really!
:luvbed:
its all good bro,
so you will be watching to see him win now?? glad to hear.
who are you to Vanes? is brother or sumat?
whats a sumat??
i am like a brother to him. I do his web design and local promotions/ticket sales, and am an advisor to him in all things in and out of boxing.
what a PUFF he reminds me of carlos quintana.. he will be exposed by the next puncher/boxer. dont believe this guys HYPE
thats good, we know you will always be tuning in to his fights now to watch him lose :D
you will be DISSAPOINTED MY FRIEND for a long time to come.
Freddie Roach exposes his boxers in the gym so it doesn't have to happen come fight time. We all trust in him, and the footwork, speed, power, and discipline of Vanes.
Hasn't been tested. Good technique, but not enough to go heads up with the elite.
oh thats for sure, i never said he is ready for the elite.
Shelly Finkel's plan is to have Vanes as a Top 10 contender by end of this year, or early '08. Then take things from there.
NEXT FIGHT for Vanes: June 23 in Vegas, undercard for Hatton vs. Castillo
It did look like he went down from the rabbit punch.. If it would have been caused by the uppercut he would have staggered backwards or his head would have rocked back and fell on his ass.. but he fell forward and immediately grabbed the back of his neck/head.
no bro, his corner was about the throw in the towel too, I was ring side.
The guy came up to Vanes afterwards and said "nice uppercut"
he had to show the back of his head so he didn't look bad. Watch it again, first of all, its not a clean rabbit punch, its very near the side of the head, and the guy is already goin down from the uppercut, thats why Vanes gets him on the side/rear of his head.
your boy is one CHEATING FUK HEAD.... what a coward. he beat the dude witha blatant RABBIT PUnch.. please get off his nuts and promote him else where..

He's got the potential to be a world title holder at 154 and 160 in the future and at the least he should be able to win an alphabet belt.
He needs to settle down and sit on his punches more. And maybe improve his defence too.
His combos and hand speed are great though.

I wish people would stop making the first answer in a thread about a prospect "Great fighter" because you just can't say that about young guys but I know what people mean it's just some may take it more literally than others......anyway I picked the one that started with Great because I think he is good and above avg.I read he got dropped for his 1st time in his last fight but got up to win by stoppage so those are good rounds for him.I see him possibly being a title holder at 154 or 160 someday......I like his style.
