I think this is a great email. In fact, maybe we could get this (or another email written by Boxingscene bosses) and have it 'signed' (electronically) by everyone in the forums who agrees to it.we should get rick reeno to do one. and we'll sign it.
I would be shocked after hearing BPP thoughts on the matter and he hadn't even taking a Chico Avatar. He still got the wife beating taste in his mouth.
Well the Hall of Fame is for exploits IN the ring, not out of it. If that were the case, there would be MANY non deserving members.
We should judge those based on the standards and criteria given by the IBHOF panel. IMO, he is a borderline HOF; that being said, he gets my vote. There are less deserving fighters in there already.

My email:
Dear Hall of Fame,
In light of the tragic death of Diego Corrales, boxing scene (www.boxingscene.com) would like provisions to be made for a ceremony at the next boxing hall of fame for Diego.
We feel this is perhaps one way the boxing community can come together and pay their respects for a man who gave his life to this sport and was taken away from us so quickly.
We would also like some feedback on perhaps the earliest point in which Diego can be inducted in the hall of fame itself. I and others hope that 40 wins from 45 fights, 9 world title fights, fights with some of the most notable names of this Generation, as well as his all round good personality, will be taken into account when a decison is made on wether and when he is inducted.
Boxing scene does this as a gesture towards boxing fans who find it hard to come to terms with the fact that Corrales is no longer among us.
But more importantly for his family and his children so that they can realise the magnitude of support Diego had, both inside and outside the ring.
I hope you take this into consideration.
Regards

Great email. As one already suggested we should all defintiely do this so they can take immediate notice.
I think he deserves to be in the hall of fame, not just because of his ability but because of his entertainment value, no boxing fan of this era doesn't know who Corrales is.
But I'm not going to send them an email, as much as I'm saddened by his death, it shouldn't be one rule for him and another for everybody else.
But he will get voted in 5 years from now, mark my words.
Send an email will merit a section of the ceremony towards him. Scrapiron Johnson is in the World Boxing Hall of Fame, this is different. Send one Shanus to show support and at least for his memory. I expected you to know a gesture from something that was actually going to happen. Do you think if they get 50K letters and emails the boxing public won't take notice.
