That really is the summary of the fight. Oscar got a lot closer to floyd than i thought he could which was great. Floyd showed he can be hit. Oscar just didn't have the stamina to keep it going at fast enough tempo. This was supposed to be Floyds coming out party and he disappointed. Most of his punches hit Oscar's gloves, that's why the punchstat numbers were so off.
Floyd is a great fighter but if he retires now he is dreaming if he thinks he will be considered in the same league as SRL and SRR. Absolutely dreaming.
What else is new? Hugh Grant spewing his opinion on a fight he didn't see.
Yes, he did beat Oscar convincingly.
Outlanded Oscar by about 90+ punches.
and outlanded Oscar in the power punch category by about 60-70 punches.
Now before you make yourself look stupid again, do us all a favor and shut up, UNTIL you actually watch it. Thanks.
Aaawww no need to be like that. I said well done PBF. BUt it werent that convincing was it? No im not making myself look stupid and am entitiled to an opinion on PBFs belief that he is the greatest ever on the basis of a victory over DLH.
He is alongside SRL and Co, so well done to PBF. But the greatest ever. Nope. And in 10 years time people wont say it as well like PBF believes. Beat Hatton and Mosely and even i would listen to suggestions.
Discussing who would win fantasy match ups is dumb.
It's pointless.
The fact of the matter remains, even at 147, Floyd would have been very competitive against both. Sorry to burst your bubble but no one is "raping" anyone.
i think hearns has more skills, he can fight agressive or box, he uses his jab alot better and has killer crosses and left hooks(more power than PBF)... all pbf does is pot shot... you think PBF's style could beat SRL or hearns?
I think Skillswise mayweather is better than both.
In terms of styles.
I can't pick mayweather over Ray Leonard, i can see how he could win, but i'd pick Leonard, (SRL is my all time P4P number one btw).
I'd give him more chance against hearns actually, and i know for a fact you know alot more about Hearns and Leonard than i do, i know hearns had explosive power, but id give mayweather a chance if you match those two up P4P.
Fair enough?
Height, power, size and Leonard was also faster then Floyd at 147, but Floyd's defense is better then both men.
I don't really like talking too much about fantasy fights because it's something that we can never prove, but it's really not fare to put the 147 pound version of Floyd against the 147 pound versions of Hearns and Leonard.
PBF does better have defense than hearns... i think SRL's defense is about equal...
Haha, nice answer,
Personally i dont think you could ever count floyd out, Skill for skill its Mayweather> Hearns for me,
you still basing your predictions around attributes affected by weight, forget weight,
Skill for skill,
Mayweather or hearns?
Just asking for your opinion, not sniping.

he still isnt.... anybody has a chance, butterbean has chance against lewis if he can hit him.... pbf has a chance, but i think srl and hearns would rape him... they both hit alot harder and fight a more skilled fight rather one shot a time, pot shotting..

And the fact that they would outweigh Floyd by like 10-15 pounds in the ring. :pat:
now we're just making assumptions... now everyone does like gatti and blows up two weight classes after the weigh in.... at an even weight, they beat floyd... how would floyd beat them??? you think PBF can beat SRL by pot shotting him with punch at a time????
So how does what you are NOW saying,
Match up with what you earlier said?
''Floyd isnt in their league'
lol.

anybody has chance, but hearns matches VERY well with floyd.... how is floyd's style (pot shotting one punch at a time) gonna do against hearn's jab, power, height
So how does what you are NOW saying,
Match up with what you earlier said?
''Floyd isnt in their league'
but your giving him a chance,
Or are you giving pbf a puncher's chance?
lol.
The only time Hearns fought at 135 was in amateurs, he never had a professional fight at 135.
Both Leonard and Hearns best weight was at 147, Floyds best weight was at 130, both men are much bigger then Floyd.
if they fight at 147 there only advantage is height...
It would give anyone hell.
One advantage to Floyd though, Tommy would be fighting with an I.V in his arm due to him trying to make 135... rofl.
take leonard then
We are talking about pound for pound,
Meaning a fight based on attributes not being affected by weight (such as speed and power)
Im now gonna ask you again, are you telling me a guy Mayweather doesnt have a chance against hearns skill for skill?

if thats your opinion cool, but i think hearns styles would give PBF hell at any weight... every fighter has a bad style match up... a tall, skilled boxer with a good jab and power like hearns would give him hell...

from my point of veiw, PBF was hitting nothing but Gloves just like oscar -_-
sure, he got a few clean shots every now and then, but it was Nothing compared to what he said would happen.
quotes from PBf:
"...you aint gonna do shit..."
seems to me He was the one doing nothing.
"i gave the fans a Great fight!"
that was a Horrible performance. nothing i hate more than runners...
At 135, Floyd beats Hearns.
At 147, Hearns beats Floyd.

barkley at 160+ pounds hits alot harder than PBF... plus pbf doesnt fight anything like barkley, styles makes fights... hearns would be a nightmare for pbf...

explain to me how if floyd fights hearns at 135, hearns is (as you say) much, much, much, much bigger???? you can't cause he's not....
At 135, Floyd beats Hearns.
At 147, Hearns beats Floyd.
How you do work this out,
You telling us skill for skill Mayweather has no chance against hearns? the same hearns whose jaw was hung out to dry by greats such as iran Barkley?
barkley at 160+ pounds hits alot harder than PBF... plus pbf doesnt fight anything like barkley, styles makes fights... hearns would be a nightmare for pbf...
