As reported by CBS 2 News Los Angeles app. 3:02pm..
Mayweather ate his way up to 150 for the weigh-in.
There is a very good chance he will come into the ring under 150.
(sidenote)
De La Hoya is claiming knockout in the interview.
He sounds very determined to get the KO..
The weight gain after the weigh in is NOT an advantage! It is in fact a big disadvantage because of the fatigue associated with dehydration. In the past DLH has shown signs of fatigue in the later rounds. Mayweather is well aware of this and will determine his strategy accordingly. Don't be surprised if Mayweather goes for the KO in the later rounds. Mayweather didn't have to dehydrate to make weight consequently he is at 100%. My guess is if DLH can't impose himself on Mayweather at the beggining of the fight he will be on survive mode just to make it to the end.
Dont forget guys that if this is true then Floyd didnt do it for nothing. His plan may have been to just come in natural and naturaly he may have only been able to get to 147 or 148 pounds but one of Oscar's stipulations was that Floyd had to weigh-in at atleast 150
he was probably eating a shit load of chez whiz, that's all i saw him scarfing down in the 24/7 episodes, hahaha, floyd is full of chez whiz, hahaa.........
I really can’t see Oscar entering that ring under 165.
Exactly. When was the last time Oscar only put on a few pounds? He definatly wont look like he did against Sturm though. That was at Middleweight and Oscar was badly out of shape. He's in top condition for this one.
Besides, Roach is a idiot if he wants that. Why take away his biggest advantage? Thats his normal weight so he can still have good speed at that weight. If he comes in smaller then he will be playing right into Floyd's hands. He better take all the weight he can get or else he will be making a big mistake. If Floyd is able to go up to 155 while Oscar is at 158 then Oscar is finished
