A lot is being made about open scoring in boxing and I would like to know your opinion.
The arguments for usually range around the fact that boxing is one of the few sports where the public do not know the score at all times.
The arguments against usually center around the fact that not knowing the score adds to the drama and without the drama, a lot of boxing's attraction will be lost.
So I ask you...what's the score?
I don't like it.....its bad for boxing.Fighters will base how they fight the rest of the fight on that and it can cause a shitty anti climatic ending.....Mormeck/Bell II was a fine example recently.Great fight until after the 8th round and Mormeck knowing he was up big ran for his life and not to be confused I was going for Mormeck but he did not fight like he had to win after that and it was not as clear cut as the judges scores indicated.
