I just read a quote where Floyd says he is the selling point of this fight.. he is the popular one..and he is the feature...
I think he is completey an ego maniac.. but what say YOU???
Ok, going out on a limb here...
You guys can castrate me if you'd like but, this is what I feel, and I'm buzzed because I'm sipping a glass of wine.
So, here goes: On the PBF vs Baldomir issue:
Floyd is a supreme fighter. I believe his fight with Baldy was considered to be crap by most people because he had heart enough not to open up and lay the punishment on Baldomir knowing that Baldy has a family and is just trying to make a living in a brutal profession.
That's what I sensed watching that fight. Seemed to me like Floyd was holding back from trying to hurt Baldomir, knowing Baldomir is not an A-rated fighter. Which I believe explains why the crowd started to walk out on a fight they knew full well was going to be won by PBF.
If any of yall thinks that's crazy, Then I'll accept my crucifixion at your discretion. :boxing:
I actually voted for mayweather, because I hate de la hoya, and I really want to see DLH flat on his ass (althou i bet it will be a boring 12 round dec) But I do recognize he is why 80% of people are buying this fight...de la hoya is more known, even thou mayweather is the better boxer.
But Thats not what MY poll is all about... I didnt ask who you like..or dislike.. I asked who do think has more drawing power..
Thats some serious ballsucking you got going on there mate..:nonono:
so bad you cant even answer a poll correctly... SHAME ON YOU :nono:
lol people voting for Floyd.
You need to go back to www.Mayweather.com or some shit. That's absurd......you're a complete tool if you think he's a bigger draw than Oscar. Just quit posting....please.

Its pretty appparent that you are a floyd fan. Floyd couldn't even sell out his fight with Baldomir, he barely did over 9,000 had that been Oscar the place would have packed not to mention half the crowd left floyds fight before it even ended. Floyd does not sell more than Pac or Gatti. The reason people love the Pacs and Gattis is because they know that they are gonna get there money's worth and because they are exciting fighters. Floyd is not that type pf fighter which expalins why people left his last fight early. When it comes to Oscar an d Floyd, Floyd isn't even in the same ball park. I really think he is so insecure with himself that he just needs to run his mouth to whoever will listen and hear himself talk.

VERY WELL SAID!
Thats B.S. and you know it. If you look at Floyd's PPV numbers, his is better then nearly anyone not named Oscar. He sells just as much and alot of times more then the 4 headed monster of EM, MAB, Pac, & JMM. There having huge fights with eachother and he can put up there numbers fighting regular guys.
Also, selling shit is so overrated. How many guys really sell anyway? You might think your boys sell well but its only because there PR. Its just like alot of Mexicans. If Floyd was Mexican or PR then he would sell huge.
Then look at a guy like Cotto who always fights in PR or in NY. I guess that means he's a great selller, right? Its just like Gatti figthing in AC. Anyone can put up huge numbers at home. If Floyd fought in Michigan every fight then he would pack the house every time but there are no Casinos in Michigan so they dont let him fight there

He has yet to face a real marquee opponent that was a superstar.
Until he fights Oscar, he's a relatively unknown fighter to the general public outside of die hard boxing fans and HBO fanboys who were on Gatti's nuts. That's just the bottom line.
I think the fact that he has consistantly been built up to be the best in the sport has greatly expanded his popularity. Hes definitly more popular and well known that you give him credit for.
i pity the fifteen fools that have not voted for de la hoya...
Hahaha my sentiments exactly,
easiest boxing question in the world....... if they dont know it, makes u wonder what they doing here.
Oscar is obviously the main draw here, but its only 60/40 guys. This isn't some landslide in who is drawing. If you put Oscar up against any other fighter then the 1.4 million buys mark for a non-heavyweight bout is not in jeopardy of being broken. It is Oscar selling the fight, but the key point is that it is Oscar against Floyd, a guy everyone can hate who also just happens to be considered the best fighter in the world. He's not even going to scrape a million buys against any other realistic fighter except maybe in a Shane or Tito rematch.
Some clarity on who's the "featured" fighter
Both Oscar and Floyd are the "featured" fighters in the main event.
If you're asking who's more popular and pulls in the bigger numbers, that would be Oscar.
Oscar is putting his WBC Jr Middlweight belt on the line, that Floyd is going up in weight by about 7 pounds to capture.
Oscar is getting paid the bigger money for this fight: $25 mill. to Floyd's
$10 mill.
Oscar is indeed more popular with the boxing and non-boxing fans at this moment. :boxing:
