The irony of this ridiculous post is that it actually is rooted in some truth. Manfredo probably does deserve a rematch (of course, he wont get one, quite rightly), not because of a competetive bout or an unfair decision but because of a very premature stoppage and he can go throughout his career claiming that. And people can avoid Calzaghe claiming that he is a protected fighter. All because the ref stopped the fight anywhere between 10 seconds (Calzaghe was going to start scoring as soon as Manfredo got his hands away from his head and started ducking down) to a round early.
And people claim that Calzaghe is protected, that stoppage has done nothing whatsoever but hurt him.
yup you are right.
I still think that there should be a rematch though and IT should be in the U.S. People would still watch it because nothing really happened in the 1st fight except a BS stoppage in hometown. Manfredo did well in the 1st roud too. Manfredo wins 1st round, Cal wins 2nd, 3rd was bullshit stoppage.
It's only right and fair. In addition, if that fight happened in the U.S.A I don't think there's any way Joe can stop Manfredo Jr in 3 rounds.
NO You are right.. now that Joe knows what to expect.. he would Knock him out in 2 rounds..:nana:

In a rematch, a JC witout Broken Hands, without the pressure of having to give his fans a spectacle,
would stop Manfredo inside 3 rounds. lol
no problem
Manfredo is a tough kid. More than he's getting credit for. Calzaghe would have beat him in IMO too, but everytime I see the stoppage, it's clear that Manfredo was in no immediate danger. Less than half of the flurry landed.

the first two rounds were more competetive. i dunno what peter was doing, he was staying against the ropes getting hit, he should have known to get outta there
The first round was competitive, the second round was completely one sided, with Joe Blow nipping in an out and landing combinations.
