The Closest boxer to be the next ray robinson?

Even with No Mas, I have no problem thinking Duran would have given Ray HELLLLLLLLLL. I wouldn't pick him to win but it would be worth watching.

The Only Reason I Even Like Zab Is Cuz He Fights Like Robinson.. Robinson Training Was Second To None It Allowed Him To Do Things With His Style Zab Simply Can Not Do... Ray Robinson Did Tons Of Footwork And Shadow Boxing Witch Was His Main Focus Of Training.. He Was Already A Puncher So He Just Worked On Foot Work And Speed Of Combinations Every Single Day .. With His Height At 5'11 Fight At Welterweight He Could Do Even Moore.. Zab Is Only 5'7 At Welter..

what if a middleweight who's 5'11 (robinson's height) and weights the same as robinson was. would that person be considered the robinson of the new generation? or never? lol..nah, man. There have been middleweights similar or exceeding Sugar's measurements, but measurements alone a great boxer do not make. Hearns was over 6' at welter and middleweight. Paul Williams today is a 6'0+ welter (and more than likely future middle) and wont be the next Sugar. Those 2 guys exeed his height at a low weight class, but will never be considered in the same class as Ray Robinson. God created Robinson for one thing and one thing only...to be the best boxer who ever lived.

There's no one who will be next but there are pleanty of guys out there right now who would give him a good fight. Ray had to work hard to beat LaMotta, Servo at least once, Gavilan and he had two very entertainging fights, Tommy Bell won some rounds and dropped him flat on his back...I could see the best Hopkins and the best Ray being an intriguing affair. Ray was the GOAT, but he wasn't an insurmountable God. One of the reasons people loved him was that he made great fights. He wouldn't show up today and not find competition.

Zab is lefty, and his stance is typical for a couthpaw, SRR was a righty and his stance was just popular these days. Yea but they're both black.

There is a slight similarity in their stances. That is all.

uummm, NO, Judah fights nothing like Ray Robinson. first off zab makes more common mistakes than almost anyone in boxing, only his youth and natural abilities get him through those mistakes without him receiving any harm, kind of. Zab's work rate is nothing compared to SRR's, he has zero combinations compared to SRR's ( almost no combo's at all ), his chin is complete crap compared to SRR's, zab has zero focus compared to SRR's, zab has piss poor foot work not even comparable to SRR's, Zab poses in the ring constantly before and after throwing a punch something SRR never did at least from the available footage, Zab struggles with lesser opponents sometHing SRR never did his only tough fights were against great opposition or later in his career when he was old, war torn, and had moved up in weight. SRR went something like 93 or 95 and 0 before suffering his first loss, something Zab couldn't do dreaming and fighting tomato cans............ i will give a slight acknowledgment to zab in the power department but it was nothing compared to SRR's a guy that moved up in weight past zab's current weight and was still ko'ing guys with one punch power or at least dropping them with a single shot. i'm being honest when i say this and i'm sure that i speak for everyone on here when i say " NO WAY IN HELL IS ZAB JUDAH COMAPARABLE TO 'SUGAR' RAY ROBINSON!
