It's between Welterweight (147) and Junior Middleweight (154) where they transition between 8oz gloves and 10oz gloves, right?
So, which provides less protection for PBF's brittle hands?
- 8oz Winning gloves?
- Or 10oz Reyes gloves?
- Is it even an issue like the public/media is making it out to be?
I personally think PBF's new weight class at 154 negates the "Brand Of Gloves" issues here, but of course the only brand of gloves I've ever used and owned were the Everlast brand so I wouldn't know for sure for personal comparison.
Correct me if this topic has already been discussed.
I don't know about pad configuration.
But the Reyes 12 oz gloves I had were like fucking Rocks.

That's just Delahoya as usual trying to get every advantage that he can.
He's written into the contract that Mayweather must wear Reyes gloves, that he must be at a certain weight entering the ring and I even heard that the ring size will be smaller in order to negate the movement of Mayweather.
Boxing is very much a mental game. How you view your opponent, the confidence you have as that bell rings. Some of the best fighters won because they were cocky enough to let their hands go without fear, to duck and move and let their game out. Do the gloves matter? I don't know. I'm not a boxer. I do know the mental game matters. If Floyd is at all worried about hurting his hands, or Oscar feels he has an edge - the fight could play out differently than if the gloves weren't an issue.
