Who is next for Kessler? (if not JC)

As long as Calzaghe is around, I dont think he want to leave 168 - he wants Calzaghe above anybody. He claims to be comfortable at smw right now, but he could be forced to it by HBO I agree Kessler wants Calzaghe badly. But he also has to be realistic. If it appears to be impossible to get Calzaghe into the ring, he should NOT waste his career waitnig for it. Unless B-Hop, Taylor or Winky wants to fight him at 168 (I absolutely can't imagine they will), perhaps he might as well be off to LHW sooner rather than later. If he could grab Berrios belt first i wouldn't mind - but that's a lot of sanctioning fees to be paying. If he stays at 168 Bute and Mundine seems the biggest threats now. Brits would say Froch. I don't rate him, but would appreciate ANYONE (including Kessler) shutting him up.

He should fight Froch, but HBO might not like that idea. If there are no Contender stars around I guess they'll give him an aging middleweight. At 175 he could fight one of the old guys, a Euroslugger like Adamek, or in the best case Chad Dawson. Kessler has the right frame for that. It was a very clean right hand and Dawson was up quickly and cogent. That's why I said there's a little question; it's not clear his chin is less than good. But Adamek was reluctant to even throw until that point. adamek has surprising power when he's desperate, the boy can punch - just watch his first fight with tough assie paul briggs. that may not have as much to with dawson's chin as adamek being desperate and landing a perfect punch. adamek is good technically but he can't move like kessler can, and doesn't have the natural athleticism It was a very clean right hand and Dawson was up quickly and cogent. It wasn't even competitive. And I think Dawson would do the exact same thing to Kessler, he's just at another level skill wise. You should dl that fight. Then in the tenth Adamek landed a big right and Dawson went down. Dawson was okay but fought conservatively and held the last two rounds. Earlier their was a trip incorrectly scored as a KD for Dawson, so the fight should have been 116-111 but was 116-110. I've been surprised at the lack of discussion of this, apart from a little chin question he looks like an outstanding fighter, a league above Adamek and the others. Sure but Kessler is much quicker and moves better than Adamek, so the fight would be more interesting. Adamek got frustrated and made the fight uninteresting. Even if you're right, Dawson has to fight someone and Kessler has to be one of the two or three best matchups out there. KESSLER AINT READY 4 THE BIG DAWGS .... Like who??? He's annihilated everyone they've put in front of him, so he has to step it up. No one's too big for him.

SO proven or not.. he looks no worse or better on paper than Adrande.. It would a Good test for Kessler and will either SHUT Frochs big mouth up.. Or prove him right.. I cant see any other challenges for him at SMW.. Calz Forch or Bute are the only real choices..
