Lets see if pacquiao will finally do whats right and call out a fighter he hasnt beat like JMM.
O rly??
from what i've heard there were multiple tries to get a rematch?
And besides, JMM is not as fast as he was in 04 when he fought pacman
the first time..he might be stronger, But in m/o..if he tried to fight pac now
he would lose..
People are forgetting Pacquiao came in a 144 for the Morales fight. No way is Marquez strong then Pac.Pacquiao is at the best he will be at 130lbs physically.
Pac's too fast for him, He's elevated since his first fight with JMM..
yeah he has...but i think pac still has alot to learn and can still get ALOT better
I just hope that the legal row between golden boy and top rank be settled as soon as possible. It seems that marco is not interested with an immediate rematch and juan manuel wants to get rid of pac thorn in his tiger claw. Hope that golden boy and top rank can see all the tons of money that they can make, set aside their difference, become very greedy and make this fight come true to finally settle this issue of who would win between these two great fighters. I say it's a 60-40 fight in favor of...do I have to say who? :D
hilarious sig prof.... :D
Pac by midrounds stoppage....
JMM would be koed by the 2006 Pacquiao if they fight today...
BUT I think JMM can beat Congressman Pacquiao ...
its hard to talk about winning a WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP FIGHT on a fighter who have lost his sense of direction and is fighting in a more savage ring in the political arena...
i just hope the fans will beat the drums for a JMM-PAC 2
and as a fan I will cross that bridge when we get there...
PAC of today will only lose if he doesn't train rigorously. PAC needs to be focused 101% on the fight. Sure sometimes he says it, but to hear about him going to derbys, playing pool and this and that just makes me weary. If all of the politics, the celebrity, the etc. gets to him like it did before, he will lose.
He can be a champion for years and then a legend if he only dedicated a few more years to boxing.
THEN he can go do whatever.

but can he stand pacs power at both hands since he displayed it in the 2nd and 3rd fight between him and morales..
3 years ago it was all left hands pac was throwing at JMM he can confuse him by faking the left then throwing the manila ice! :D
Manila Ice stunned Morales in the 3rd fight. It will do the same to Marquez once Pac land it no question.
I would favor Pacquiao but JMM stands a great shot to outbox Pacquiao.

LMAO, Barrera dropped Marquez in the 7th with a straight right and we all know how heavier Pac's left is and how MORE NUMEROUS HE THROWS THEM. Pac via KO within 6.
If the Pac version who fought Morales(trilogy) and Larios, then i picked Pac over JMM(against MAB).
But if your talking about the Pac now against Solis, well 2 weeks in Philippines and 19 days of training over in Los Angeles, then i pick JMM and Solis over Pac.
Pac is not taking Solis seriously. Pac has gotten big headed. Solis by upset.
Pacquiao's camp offered numerous rematches to Marquez after their draw. Marquez's management dropped the ball and opted to fight shit fighters for less pay. Aside from that when Pacquiao and Marquez first fought, Pacquiao was only a left handed puncher. Since then he's devolped quite a right hand and has power in both hands. A rematch against Pacquiao now would be a nightmare for Marquez.
In response to the original topic.
Well, the fight nowaday would still be 50/50. Manny has improved greatly since their first encounter which was even weak by his performance he put on with Barrera. He did throw a bunch of right hands against Barrera. I think when he fought Marquez, he underestimated Marquez completely and thought he could just blow him outta there which was almost gonna work. Almost. Of course it didn't and we know how that played out. Manny threw the big left nonstop the rest of the fight trying to drop Marquez who just avoided it.
In a rematch it would be totally different Manny though still a tough fight. Marquez will do everything in preparations to make sure he still avoids the big left though Manny has some hurting right hooks it looks like nowadays. As long as Manny stays confident to throw them, I think he could mess up Marquez pretty bad. Though if he falls into the same pattern that was in 2004 of just jab, left hand, jab, left hand, then Marquez's chance from 50 goes to 75% to win. Boxing is very mental and you gotta think into the mental aspects of it. Marquez wants to win badly, though you gotta think Manny does also. He'll try anything it takes to win the rematch to prove he won it the first time around. He'll go all out if he must just to get Marquez outta there before it falls in the hands of hte judges. Manny can't outbox Marquez, though he can hurt him enough to keep Marquez from throwing often and get him cautious. Still a 50/50 today.
Pac skills are still bad..he favors the left hand throughout the fight...and barrera showed he has good counter skills....pac has no counter skills...I see JMM winning by easy decision....Even if pac whacked JMM a few times JMM will still get up and win.....pac was younger and stronger when he knocked JMM 3x in the first round and JMM still stood up...I hope the fight happens..I have a feeling Solis is going to spoil pac's party
I'm assuming you're talking about the fight 3 years ago. Guess you didn't pay attention to Pac's right hand connecting Morale's face and body. And no counter skills is an overstatement. He was countering Larios and was also countering Morale's jab with a right hook. Pac has improved a lot compared to the 2004 version. The thing I see bad about Pac is his thing to back up when being attack.
Marquez to me gott slower (maybe I'm just so use to watching his lil bro) but the man has learned a lot about Pac that he knows what to expect next time he (if he does) fight Pac again.
As for the fight itself, it can still go either way for me. I can see either fighter (or even a draw) beating each other. I think JMM is now very use to southpaws and with Pacquiao's improvement, these two guys are still on the same grounds.
Pac would go to the body, be throwing right hooks, left hooks, and of course his straight left. I think Marquez is stronger but is a touch slower and will get stopped late by Pac. Peace out
I dont exactly see why Pac would be favored. I realize hes a better fighter now, but JMM was the one who finished stronger, and won the majority of the rounds.
