Forbes was clearly robbed. Even if Hopkins did deserve to win which he didnt, them scores were just unacceptable.
Penalosa deserved a few more rounds in my opinion than he got. I still think he clearly lost though, not that bad this one.
Then I found the Barrera-Marquez score ridiculous. I wasnt sure who was going to win, I could have seen it a few points either way. I scored it 7 rounds to 5 for Barrera and the knockdown was clearly a legit knockdown. Barrera then stood there waiting for the referree to come between them and when it didnt happen after he clearly waited he threw another punch. I understand he hit him when he was down and im not trying to justify it but im pointing out what most likely was the situation in Barrera's point of view. Close fight, great fight, I think Barrera deserved it.
The bad refereeing and judging ruined this PPV for me.
To say either guy clearly won is stupid in my opinion. Your a liar if you say when the 12round ended you were sure Marquez won because it was clear cut.
I did, I just wasnt sure if Marquez was gonna get robbed. He clearly won the fight IMO ofcoarse. It wasnt to hard to score the rounds for me.

The judging was terrible but that was the worst of them all, Forbes clearly won that fight.
I think the varying scores people had on here clearly show what a close fight the MAB/JMM fight was. I wouldn't have complained if either fighter had won it, as it was so close. What I couldn't believe is how clear cut they had. I was fully expecting a split decision but for someone to score it 118-109 is incredible.
I'm not surprised PDL won so big. The sheer number of punches he throws will clearly catch the eye of the judges.
Hopkins winnning so big was a joke as well. I wouldn't be surprised if the fact that a) He's undefeated b) Is Bernard's brother and c) A Golden Boy fighter swung it for him.
What annoys me so much is that this comes after last Saturdays show in Liverpool, in which it transpires 2 judges failed to mark down the 2 points deducted for Derry Matthews and M'baye getting a very lucky draw against Kotelnik.
It is easy to think that sometimes judges have decided the winner even before the fight starts.
Marquez won the fight by landing harder shots and coming forward more and just being overall more active. From the 5th round until that strange 7th I had Marquez on the up. Maybe the scores could have been a lil closer but I dont see how anyone can say MAB won that. Also in my mind MAB needed a KO in the 12th to win.
I had Barrera won 7 rounds to 5, but it can go either way. But the scores is ridicolous.
Forbes is a robbery, but Demtrius has an advantage. No its not his height or boxing skills. Its called "Uncle BHOP".
As far as Ponce vs Gerry. I had PDL won, but the scores is biased. Gerry should have at least 4 rounds, might be even 5. When HBO showed who the judges in this fight(Giampa, Moretti, and Vasquez), i already knew Gerry will lose. Even if Gerry threw more punches and connected more than PDL, he will still lose.
I actually saw D-Hop winning over Forbes by a point, but the scores for that fight were rediculous it was a 1-2 point advantage for either at most.
I didn't score PDL- Penalosa but i had PDL winning by a few points.
I had Marquez beating Barrera by a point, once again the scores were rediculous but i think they got the winner right in all of the fights.

i had 115-113 for barrera, i thought it was his fight and got screwed out of a knockdown. jay nady never makes mistakes but that was a big one. the judges were garbage tonight also. ridiculous.

I COULDNT BELIEVE IT EITHER.. I THOUGHT BARERRA WAS BRILLIANT THE WAY HE HANDLED MARQUEZ...COUNTER BETTER BOXED BETTER AND SLUGGED BETTER .. MARQUEZ WAS JUST MORE AGRESSIVE BUT HE DID HAVE A COUPLE MOMENTS
In my opinion, all these fights were decided by the judges before they even happened. Fuking boxing:nonono:
we kinda suspected that after the hopkins decision. my fear of penalosa losing to a decision became very apparent. but a 119 - 109, 120 - 108 for de leon was fuckin ridiculous.
ponce was backing down and bicycling in the last 3 rounds, and he got tagged by gerry in the middle rounds.
sad day for boxing :nonono:
what about ponce vs penalosa?? how did you see it guys??
i know as much that de leon throw 1000+ punches against a older smaller foe...
a hard puncher that he is if he did not ko or kd the guy just how many landed??
If Barrera was robbed,u would ahve heard it from the fans in the arena booing, but they didnt, they cheered the decision, not a single boo, they knew it was a great fight and Marquez deserved it
The judges are pathetic, but its Las Vegas, what do u expect?:D
I never claimed Barrera was robbed. I think it was a close fight, CLOSE FIGHT, that could have gone either way by a point or two. I thought Barrera won it even with that bulsh!t 7th round. If you gave it to Marquez by a point of two i could see that. But I cant find a way to agree with the judges cards....in any of them fights.
plus Marquez clooed the show better and thats usually what the crowd remembers, so they wouldnt boo.

Marquez clearly won that fight, aside from Barrera'a Cheerleading crew on the sideline the fight was not too close, though not 118-110, or whatever. The other fights were bad, PDL was closer and Forbes deserved the fight in my eyes.
marquez clearly won............as for forbes i had him outhustling hopkins most of the later rounds and the scores were dead wrong but that's boxing......
To say either guy clearly won is stupid in my opinion. Your a liar if you say when the 12round ended you were sure Marquez won because it was clear cut.
Why should it ruin it for u? u witnessed a great fight, fuck what the judges think,u know who won the fight anyway, the fans are the judges
But ido admit, the Hopkins-Forbes match was fucked up
I enjoyed all the fights, especially the main event, but all the controversy just left a bad taste in my mouth other than being all hyped and excited.
I agree with everything you said. I don't know how you can't score his perfect right hook a knockdown, nady is a retard. 116-111 for two judges? Unbelievable, if the scores were a lot closer, seeing as some rounds were close, and Marques won I would not be as pissed as I am now. Prolly one of the most perfect times open scoring would have helped, and instant replay aswell.
