I'm strongly debating purchasing Marquez vs. Barrera.
Do I drop the $50, or do I wait a week and watch it for free?
Spoiled results mean nothing to me.. I watch for the exchanges.
In general, what do you do when it comes to PPV?
I swear they should have a discount for people who have HBO and Showtime.. They just air the fight later in the week.
People without HBO and Showtime pay the same amount.
It has to be a really good fight for me. I don't need to buy all PPV's, especially when you consider that at any given event the fight may end up sucking more than the undercards, then you feel depressed for having spent what you feel was too much for it.
It would make more sense to wait for it til the following week, go to a bar with some buddies if you have any, or invite the buddies over and split the cost among all of you.
I remember many times going over to some friends' house with a group of boxing fans and watching the fights on a big screen tv.
It's really fun that way. And if your guy loses the fight, at least you enjoyed being there to watch it while chugging down some beers or munching on whatever food was available. :boxing:
Here in Iceland we don't have ppv's, Most fights are shown on the local sport channel doesnt matter if it is regular HBO/Showtime or PPV.
Lucky bastard.
I ordered it just now. Man I hope its a brawl and not a boxing match. Im suprised more people arent talking about this fight actually. Two top pound for pound fighters going at it.
Well I order a fight that I want to watch and I dont have HBO. I dont really care for the undercards so if I had regular HBO, I'd wait a week, without watching ESPN or going on the internet. Unless I'm really really anxious about a fight and want to throw a nice fight party, then I'd order it even with regular HBO. Its up to you.
Im really pulling for Barerra, and it has the potential to be a great fight. Plus the undercard could be good.
The problem is I have 77 dollars to my name, have to pay for gas and boxing, and dont have a job. Its a tough decisian.
You're a soldier for still considering it! :hail:
That's a true boxing guy for sure. :beerchug:
I say, buy it. because the undercard is gonna be good stuff, great fighters on there.
And the Main Event COULD be a legendary fight. It could also be a bit slow, but its definetly a historic fight
I think I'm going to have to take your advice. :fing02:

i cant order T_T...in my country boxing has 0 popularity so there is no market. thats there isnt that service here T_T.....the one that ill be very sad is DLH - PBF, well hope i can see it on stream. =P
funny about this thread I was wondering the same thing ( if i should get the barrera vs Marquez fight)...you know problem I have with this fight is that there is some interest but, its not like they have promoted with intrigue. I think the the winner will end up fight Paquio once his legal woes are done but thats it . boy I can't make up my mind...hmmm can't wait till May . Thats the PPV that every one will be getting.
So who would like to help me out ?

Im with you Addison. Im on the fence. It was more 30/70 of me getting it until the Bell/Mormeck fight, now Im hungry for more. Its more 50/50 now. The only ppv I have ever ordered was Pac/Morales 3, but I had a job and money back then so I could afford the price.
Ok good.. I didn't want to seem cheap or less of a fan.
I see there are others with me on this.
Through 2004-2006 I ordered pretty much every PPV.
The bills were mighty!
I'm fucked this year.. Too many to pass up.
I order one's that im interested in seeing.
I'm ordering Barrera- Marquez and probably will order most if not all of them this year, unless they are shams like Duddy- Bosante.
I see all the fights that regular HBO show, I don't order PPV'S, a PPV gives me a chance to go to a Sports Bar and get out of the house for a while,by myself.
