I swear, Liakhovich better never again fight like he did against Briggs. hopefully he got that whole thing out of his system...
but this is a good matchup i think...Toney frustrates people and urges them to fight with his style, usually makes exciting fights by forcing the opponent to throw a lot of punches...
Im impressed, this isnt a matchup i even thought of, but is a purposeful and potentially very exciting matchup!
thats a tough one to call. serge looked horrible against briggs and is very vulnerable to powerful punchers as he always goes to the ropes anytime he's stunned by a punch but toney isnt a big puncher. both guys looked awful there last fight so its a pick em in my opinion. could end up a pretty good scrap though
If Toney isnt in shape for this fight then I wont even watch it. Lyko is a smaller heavy so he has no reason to be bigger this fight.
small heavy? serge is 6'4 240 lbs
Pity no one wants to see it. Man, how many more chances can you give to Toney. He just a lard-ass has been........
No one wants to see it except most of the people in this thread...
Lightsout(post #2)^^^ is the man.
Sergei was promising before he wimped to Briggs. Letting Toney beat his ass may help restore his rep.
Toney by TKO or D

this is a fight that needs to happen asap
Your right. What's with Toney's September date on boxrec? Toney is definitely not going to train for 6 months for a fight. The only thing that's going to happen to Toney is that he gets older and fatter!:lol1:
I like this matchup better than Toney-Jirov II.. I think Liakhovich is a better hw than Jirov and would 'test' Toney more than Vasily. Plus, what's with the September date? I think that's too long to train and get ready for a fight. A June date with Liakhovich would be good.
Good matchup, but if Toney wins (I think he could) he shouldn't get another title shot for a while. We need to see Peter get his shot at Vitali/maskaev and the others go for unification.
