I read that the contracted weight for the Virgil Hill/Henry Maske fight was 190 lbs maximum(on fightnews.com). So it can't be for Hills title can it? And do you think Maske is trying to weaken Hill by having him cut too much weight? The article said Maske owned like 4 McDonalds, so I'd have thought he'd want it at a higher weight. ;)
*if there's been a thread on this sorry.....:boxing:
btw I like Hill. He is something of an unsung James Toney, not in skills but in "don't count him outilism"
maske should just chill and eat sausages with my man Axel..
this fight may very well be the swan-song for both fighters...
i hope maske puts up a better fight than shulz did against minto
i already put a bet in on hill though, pretty good odds considering the inactivity of maske
ok. RING used to put which of the big 3 titles they had behind their names so if Hill gave the title up and it wasn't on tv i guess it may have slipped my radar. But as for that being the old CW limit, I would think Maske would be like "hell yes I don't have to lose as much weight". maybe not. but since Maske was a 175 pounder anyway...

im pretty sure that hill gave up his title in order to take this fight....
its probably at 190 cause that was the cruiserweight limit when maske was an active fighter and thats what he needed to make the match...
i dont think hill will have any trouble cutting the weight since he is obviously not a natural 200 pounder....
from what ive read these guys just seem to have a lot of respect for each other and hill feels like maske deserves the chance to avenge his only loss
