Is this agreed?? If anything getting back up means your hungry for more! Classic example Diego Corrales. He goes down more than elevators but he also eats afair amount of shots and stays aboard. I 'm late on Green and Miranda but before the 10th Green took some nice ones. And I have watched some of his fights on ESPN he's got a good chin, from the shots I've seen him take. Agree? Disagree?
The key to being a successful boxer (in terms of belts and record), is not getting hit.
The key to combining a successful career in terms of belts and records with popularity and legacy is how quickly you can recover after being hit.
Chavez used to get hit a lot. I guess its not that simple.

I think this additude that if you get floored or have any number higher than zero in your loss column means you have been exposed and suck is Indicative of todays throwaway instant results mentality..
It's also indicative that the best fights aren't made IMO. In yesteryears, a loss doesn't necessarily mean an end to one's career or earning potential. Today, a no loss record is a major chip at the bargaining table.

I agree with the Diego statement. My boy gets dropped but he always gets up and he never looks really stunned when he does get dropped.
He recovers very quick.
Corrales has a poor chin, mang.
When he gets knocked down, he usually gets dropped at least once more that round, aka he has a poor chin.
And Castillo flat laid him out.

there is a difference too.
some fighters have weak chins but faster recovery diego is one of those guys he can gain his equilibrium faster then most people thats why he aint wobbling around most of the time.
Fernando vargas is another one who can regain and recover.

true many guys have tough chins but they get flash knockdowns...but also anyone if hit on the button with a perfectly placed powerful punch would go down.
Roy jones jr though has a glass jaw.
Yeah I agree sometimes guys just get hit flush and there's nothing you can do but go down. I'll admit Green's chin is better than I thought. I saw Donnie McCrary knock him senseless so I thought Miranda would do the same but finish him. That right hand he took in the 10th not very many people would have stayed up after that.
