saw the big Miranda-Green prediction thread, but NO VOTING... :(
Honestly, when's the last time we've had two, presentibly high-caliber (for our type of boxing fan) boxing matchups that were both pretty tough to be supremely confident in one man? And in the same weekend no less... March 3rd, 2007.
Edison Miranda vs. Allan Green (HBO)

and
Israel Vazquez vs. Rafael Marquez (Showtime)

Be careful when voting and make sure you know which two your picking for since you only get one chance...
i want to see every member's vote!!!
I picked Miranda and Vasquez.I'm confident in my pick of Miranda KO 4 Green but not so confident in my pick of Vasquez KO 8 Marquez. No matter who wins either of these fights they should be exciting and in the end that is what matters.
I'm picking Green and Vazquez. And when I tried to vote that way it said I'd already voted. Oh well it's underdogs all the way. I wouln't be suprised to see Urkal make a fight out of it too.

“WE ARE DESCENDED IN BLOOD”
Arlington, VA – Former President Dwight Eisenhower once commented to the effect that the American spirit is descended in blood from its past; the spirit of boxing can say the same. For those who doubt that spirit, that crimson legacy of the sweet science, there will be four opportunities for reminder this weekend. The bouts coming up will highlight a champion and feature leading contenders to the World champions at:
Super middleweight – Joe Calzaghe (42-0, 31 KOs)
Middleweight – Jermain Taylor (26-0-1, 17 KOs)
Welterweight – Floyd Mayweather (37-0, 24 KOs); and
Flyweight (lineal) – Pongsaklek Wonjongkam (64-2, 33 KOs)
On two networks, with sixteen fists, many of the elements that make boxing, even today, the most captivating of all spectator sports will be on full display. Those elements?
ELEMENT I: WAR BETWEEN ISRAEL & MEXICO

And i know most of you think of MIRANDA as a giant of a middleweight, but because green in from a class higher he is actually TALLER then Miranda.
AND GREEN is a lot stronger and muscular.
Green is good, but since I seen him rocked before I question his chin, miranda might be the smaller guy but I think he has the kind of power that can survive going up a weight class.

Pick em fights but I'm confident in my choices.
Green got rocked by a lamb.
Isreal has tasted the floor, jhonny put him down and he was moveing up, sure he is more skilled then marquez but marquez has more power. And larios put him down and ref had to stop that fight.
