wtf is wrong with floyd when he is being interviewed,
damn you can be the best in the world but damn don't get
to a point that people just start hating you because you can't
handle an interview;
i mean if you guys saw the interview in espn with brian kenny when he said;
BK: you think you can knock oscar out ?
pbf: "i can do your job, you can't do m job, im making millions just on one night you prob make thousands eventually millions"
why couldn't floyd answer the damn questions, and def. didn't have to get personal with brian kenny which is a professional and anybody who argues with floyd is an idiot, he never been this hyped-up before, the money is getting to pbf's head and he is going to pay for it.
he thinks he got more money than oscar, he would never make not even a quarter of what oscar has and you don't see oscar talking shit to the media and saying that he has more money than anybody and making comparison,
you can expect that from a new bee but not no damn world champion
Some guys just don't have the public personna. Plus I don't know if you guys remember but Ali was not well liked. Many referred to him as Clay well after he changed his name. But his bravado now in retrospect is endearing. I think Floyd is trying to do his public part to build up his fights, but is just out of his element and doesn't come off well. And while charisma doesn't win fights, yeah I agree, that a win over Oscar doesn't come close to sealing the deal for him. His personna costs him and he's going to have to do a good bit more, IMO.
Ali wasnt popular with other boxers, because he tended to make them look stupid either at the fight, or beforehand. Ali was popular throughout his career with the fans though, it certainly dipped during his lay-off, but it came back stronger than ever afterwards. If you watch the documentaries, virtually nobody liked his arrogance and boasting...until he went out and backed it up by beating Liston. As soon as he did that, everyone loved him. A huge amount of people didnt even give Liston a shot in the rematch either.
This is the same shit he first tried with CORRALES he must have thought it worked because he used it 10 fold with GATTI,then he tried it with JUDAH and JUDAH didn't do any publicity if it involved being in contact with MAYWEATHER,his reasoning was that he is making all the money why should I sell the fight. Then at the weigh-in when MAYWEATHER started his shit JUDAH and him got into a shoving match and had to be seperated. Now he has taken it even further with DELAHOYA.I,ve followed MAYWEATHER'S carear since 98 and I believe when he feels truly confidant he doesn't resort to this stuff.against CORLEY,BRUSSELES,N'DOU,MITCHELL even BALDIMIR he was very polite and everyone said how MAYWEATHER had finally grown up.I believe that it isn't just coincidence that he acts this way,I believe when MAYWEATHER faces a puncher or an opponent he views as dangerous in some way he uses these tactics to get in their head and have them start doubting themselves.I
in the documentary the soul of the champion he says these stuff to pump himself up.
it makes you wanna train more and more and boxing is one of those sport a loss could really effect you stauts for long time.

Yup. I was going to say this too.
Floyd trains his ass off. Wins every fight. But what do people do? They hate on him.
"He doesn't come to fight, he just boxes and moves" What bullshit. These same people and Writers hate on Mayweather, but praise
the "Great" Willie ]"I don't knock anybody out" Pep.
All people do is complain. This is why I hope Floyd does leave boxing. Fuck people. Don't give them the smile they want by seeing you get old and finally lose.
yup i do hope floyd leaves boxing for good,
why do you think people hate on him ?????
not because he does not work-out or earn his money,
we all know that pbf trains 24/7 regardless whether he is fighting or not,
he just loves the sport, if you the best don't try to push into people's head,
he needs to shut the f*ck-up if he does that he will earn his respect
Really?
Tell that to Muhammad Ali and Sugar Ray Robinson.
Robinson was supposedly the most arrogant ass of them all.
well that is human nature i bet after floyd retire few year people would say he was a great champion and after he is old and maybe died in 50 years they say he was underrated blah blah blah...etc
but part of human nature it envy and to critise other people success. i not floyd nothinger but i respecat him as a champ it weird the he fought Castillo the second time and beat him and people still say he lost the 1st fight. well DHL could be the most gifted person in boxing and people love him now could be the retirment thing going on :D even Hopkins did stuff worst than Floyd by dropping the PR flag to the floor and now he is a hero.
so maybe that is why Floyd is going to retire for a while and comeback could be the answer to get some love.
other fighters to is Duran, Whitaker, Pryor are where hated in there time and now they a cool and sometimes i think abit ovverrated.
another part of the human nature is they alway want to see people suffer and humilate proof that shows like Jackass and even Amercain Idol is alway popular and when Amercian Idol didnt critise people stopped watching that much
mayweather is the most talented fighter fighting today, his speed and defense are at a level rarely seen. he has the potential to be truly great if he stays on track. that being said, his behavior outside the ring is that of a 13yo. he may be the worst self promoter of all time. with his talent he could have made 4 times the money hes made so far, on endorsements and paid appearances alone, but because hes a jackass hes cheated himself out of all that money and prestige that comes along with being a sports icon. unfortunately for him he comes from a culture where its cool to be a pimp and scatter kids with all your hos and selling drugs is krunk. if he had the benefit of being raised by a real man things might have been different. instead he got stuck with a drug pushing father with whom hes had a
you need to shut the fuck up. floyd talks shit, so the hell what. it comes with the territory. who cares? i've been apart of the forum for several months now and majority of what i've read is name calling, insults, bashing, criticism, and other negativity of floyd mayweather jr. he can't hurt this. he can't hurt him. he's overrated. he will lose. yada yada yada. it's the same shit, different day. recycled posts bashing floyd is really taking away from the esscense of this forum and boxing as a whole. many of you people on here have shyed away from how he performs in the ring, to how he gives interviews and how he acts. and when you do comment on the things he does in the ring, it's usually negative. just because you never officially type in "hate" when you post arguments on floyd doesn't mean the base of your posts aren't hateful, because most of them are. you people can bitch, complain, and whine for the rest of your lives about floyd mayweather, and it will hold little to no merit if floyd continues to rack up victories against his opponents, no matter who you people find to be top calibur or not. you will have no choice but to stay angry but the numbers don't lie. the man is undefeated and for good reason, because he has been for years and is still the smartest fighter in th esport of professional boxing today, face it. hate it. envy it. worship it. whatever you want to do. but you will have to deal with it, and if your idea of dealing with it is bashing his legecay, then that's your deal but with all of the hating, you will never take away from his legacy, because he is the best fighter in the sport and there isn't anything you can do about it except hate it, and that's fine, because heat won't make floyd lose or win, smartness will.
ok i'll accept of floyd being pfp king but i would never write under my name that i suck on floyds cock like you did...
floyd is the man
he will beat de la hoya via
tko round 1
mark my words
Your an idiot and a statement like that shows you don't know shit if you think that is gonna happen. I'm not even gonna argue with such a ridiculous statement.

re
floyd is rediculous for saying he will go down in history as the best pfp fighter, sugar ray robinson didn't lose until his 40th fight (had a perfect 101-0 amateur career) and he avenged that loss later THAT SAME MONTH... didn't lose another fight between 1943 and 1952, had over 100 fights, there is no way floyd can quit now and even compare himself to sugar ray, no way...
Bob Arum didn't want to put Cotto in there with Mayweather, so that isn't Mayweather's fault. Arum wanted Mayweather to fight who? Margarito. That's right, Margarito. Why? because Margarito isn't marketable and Arum didn't mind losing someone that can't draw a crowd, unlike Cotto.
Hatton has refused to fight Mayweather, not Mayweather's fault.
I would like to see Mayweather fight both of them too, but it takes two to tango.
True. I didn't even know that. And after seeing Margarito fight Clottey, I wouldn't care if he fought either Baldomir or Margarito. It just all seems set up to me.
Arum talked about putting Cotto with Mayweather saying, "he'll break Mayweather in two". I dunno if he meant in two peices or two rounds, lol. This was after Mayweather left Arum, though, so I guess he changed his mind.
He may not be popularly conceived as funny, but hell...look what he achieved. His charisma almost got him domination over the world.
I rank Hitler higher than Napoleon in this department. I used to always here stories in my history class how "Napoleon rose up from nothing to gain power"...I would say, "Really?" "Napoleon went to a great school in France, made some great contacts because of his family, etc."
"Hitler, now there is a great story from shit to Power."
It's a shame we didn't have Film back when Napoleon was around, I would of loved to see how he gave speeches.
Hitler's speeches are incredible to watch.
And No, I am not a Nazi. LOL
Its called 'charisma', but you are correct. A natural charisma can help you avoid a lot of the pit-falls that many boxers who JUST come looking arrogant cannot seem to step over.
Charisma is rare.
Hitler had it. Boy, he ws funny
You know why they laughed?
Because they are all bullies or have been bullied at one time, and wanted to laugh at someone else.
But what happens when he turns it around to them? Not so funny anymore.
This is why Tyson went off at the Lewis press conference when somebody told him something like "put him in a straight jacket or something like that". So Tyson turned it around and responded back. What happened to the guy? He shit himself.
I dont think that a generalising assumptive amateur psychologocial analysis into the nature of humour is necessary in this particular discussion.
I never claimed that I laughed at his racial remarks, did I? In fact, I didnt go into detail at all. I know how to use my words, so please dont try and plant them for me.
Ali fought and ridiculed a lot more men than Frasier mate and most of the time, the whole world laughed along with him. I'm afraid that I wasnt around at the time, so I cant be held accountable for what everyone found funny.

True. I guess it's because how he decided to fight Baldomir, I was a little dissapointed myself, but in reality, it's whatever a fighter chooses to do to win a fight. I like Mayweather alot, but I think it's pretty obvious, he's only going after the big name fighters out there, and they're all from another era De La Hoya. If he's p4p king right now, he should defend his crown against up and comin' cats for a little while, at least. He keeps talkin about he undefeated, and he knockin on fighters wit a loss on their record, but he never (to my knowledge) fought anybody who's undefeated and was good too.(Cotto, Hatton) Well, I really want him to fight Cotto after De La Hoya, but again, he do what he wants.
That's my Mayweather bash(if you wanna call it that, lol) for the day.

The only reason Ali got away with it was because he was funny, articulate and intelligent. He made people laugh, people warmed to him and loved him. I'd have no problem Maywhether doing it, if he did it well. But he isnt, he's making the casual fan hate him.
right it's called carissma
