Who is the best heavyweight?

Well, I think it has to be Wlad., kinda by default really, but I dont think hes done enough to prove himself and he's still very vulnerable. Peter was still very raw when they fought compared to how he is today and had never been in with a top fighter, i think in a rematch it may be a different story. And besides, Sanders and Brewster were two of the best fighters he's faced and he lost. Byrd was obviously too small, Mercer was old, and Brock was outsized and stood right in front of him the whole fight so the end result was no surprize in that one. I think in a rematch, Wlad would beat Peter by a bigger margin. He's just too skilled. Wlad got hit wit some hard ass shots by Sanders and Brewster... if he were to fight them again, I think he'd beat 'em too. Best heavyweight Wlad... Vitali is better than him, but coming outta retirement, he has to fight some bouts for me to consider he's up there again.

I have serious doubts about Vitali's return. He was so adamant about the wear and tear on his body. He was hurt enough to actually just up and leave the sport- he just walked away when he was on top. Now, after a few years of dabbling in politics, getting soft, not training, he's ready to jump back into the ring? Getting back in shape could be hard. Shaking off the rust could be difficult. Then, on top of everything else, he has to truly be 100% healthy and not just trying to deny his inability to fight. Boxing is a sport that leaves its children perpetually hungry. Old men who should grow up and leave continue to step into the ring for the respect, thrill, and money. Injured, or scared men, continue to fight when the sport is too much for them. Let's hope Vitali is really ready to continue his neglected career.

Vitali Klitschko, now that he's back. Fuck, I hope he is as good as he was before he retired. If he is, there is no match for him out there right now.

i would say vitali,but i havent seen him fight since he returned obviously so im going with samuel peter uh,,wlad fought the worst fight in his life and still battered peter. not to mention most ppeople thought peter lost to toney the first time around. he's clearly not the best heavyweight and probably not even second best
