I guess that fight with Wright was a big enough scare to make Taylor fight no-hopers.

And I think it's funny how you can't see that Taylor really doesn't have world class abilities....and someone will expose that yet again much like in his last fight. You know, I agree that Taylor is still far more flawed and green than he should be as champion. I also feel, though, that he is a very large man and can use his athleticism to win fights even where his skills fail him. I agree with you, he can't be champion forever. He doesn't strike me as someone with longevity. I'll be very, very surprised if Mora is the one to take that championship, though. Hopkins would have killed Mora, Wright would have made him look silly...and yet Taylor, while doing nothing stellar, used his natural strength to carry him against these men where his flaws made him vulnerable. I don't think Mora could have gotten past those two.

Fair enough. I guess it is also fair to say that Hopkins is a natural light heavyweight. 6'1'' I believe he is, starved down to Middleweight. Sounds a lot like Taylor huh? What I meant by "bull" was that Taylor is big, strong and athletic. Hard to hurt (although the funny thing is he did get stunned by the Winkster a few times) and he is crafty enough to get by with below average skills. I agree with you about Marquez. I have a hard time seeing Turkmenistan (or whatever his name is - I'll call him Turk) as a puncher. Wasn't he moving up from 154? And he had fought extremely limited opposition...extremely limited even to Mora's resume. He starched Mora a couple times but he was complete garbage. The knockout was good on Mora's part...but this was a guy who was just totally out of his element in there with a decent fighter...I call Mora decent because that is exactly what he is. The point is Mora is weak and slow and not the fighter that can beat Taylor. Yeah, sure Hopkins beat him once (You and I both know Taylor won the second bout), Winky pummelled him pretty good and probably deserved a decision (7 rounds to 5) but he beat down Ouma pretty good. Ouma was floored 4 times by Silva, 3 by Karmazin, and was knocked down in the first twenty seconds against Rubio with a right hand. Everyone thinks his chin is granite simply because he took some shots from Jantuah, Phillips, and Candelo....but I think it still remains an enigma. Also, Mora is the much fresher fighter of the two between he and Ouma.....and he doesn't just plod forward throwing punches. Taylor is going to beat him like a drum. taylor cant hit anything. there is no way this fight will be one sided. mora sucks but taylor is worse. taylor will win another gift decision after not hitting his opponent all night. in two fights taylor didnt hit hopkins once and he won. taylor is the biggest joke in the sport.

When this fight rolls around I'll have a fistful of points to wager on Taylor if you have so much confidence in Mora. I'm not a fan of Jermain, he just never drew me in, but I think his athleticism will help him carry this fight. I see Mora getting hurt. I'll throw up points on this fight if made but, It depends on which Mora shows up. I'd bet anyways but I wouldn't do so because I'd think Mora was a lock to win the fight in my mind...which would be ridiculous. If the Mora that stopped Termeliksatian was present throwing the types of punches at angles keeping his man off balance......it could look like a poor man's version of what Wright did to Taylor. I hope Mora wins. He's much more exciting than Taylor is, and I think he has far more boxing skill. Taylor merely relies on his size, strength, and athleticism to win fights. His defense is awful, he doesn't know how to fight on the inside, and looks downright amateurish in being 0-2-1 in his last 3 fights. Mora looks more professional in the ring by far. And I don't care about "who he's fighting" because all I have to point to is Taylor drawing with a blown up Jr. Middle and him should have losing to a 41 year old man. I agree. I find Jermain Taylor to be so sloppy he's hard to watch sometimes. I have all the respect in the world for him. I just can't see why Taylor's fans always talk shit about Hopkins, saying he was sloppy, boring, etc... when it's Taylor who is truly sloppy and boring. I've never been bored watching Bernard Hopkins fight, I can't count the times I have been watching Jermain fight.

Taylor will win by UD, Mora will try to put on his usual showmanship trying to rally the fans, but it'll be a shutout for Taylor. More of a money fight for both guys, but Mora doesn't deserve this title shot.
