Yo, I got the goods! I brought home interviews with David Tua, Mickey Ward, and reactions from Gary Stark and Dame Dash about the Mike Oliver fight. Of course, I also got interviews with Sechew Powell and Andre Berto. Watch the replay, I'm on TV all night in the second row wearing my blue suit and Yankee fitted on the right side of the screen. I'm gonna drop about 5-6 articles this week, probably even more. Stay tuned, I'll go into more detail about the great stuff that happened last night.
David Tua helped me work on my left hook also. He said that my problem is that I don't lean my weight forward enough. He was impressed with my hook when I altered it and liked my hand speed and balance.
OK, here's the full story about the fights.
I got there early, but forgot to get my supplies, I.E. pen and paper. So just as was the case, I was underprepared. I was on line at the press sign in with Mike Marley from Boxingconfidential.com and we shot the shit about Pacquiao. He's a cool guy, if you understand where he's coming from. It's a money sport, and you have to do what you gotta do.
When I got inside, I talked with Harold Lederman, the coolest dude in the world. We talked about a judge who is having trouble with his eyes, and I told him that there are alot of them in Las Vegas like that.
I said wassup to all the dudes, particularly my peoples like Gary Stark, Curtis Stevens, Jerson Ravelo, Nettles Nasser, and Emmile Griffith.
When I found my seats, it turns out I was scheduled to sit with Mickey Ward. Great luck, huh? Good looking out Rick Reeno, BTW. Me and him talked all night, it was some cool stuff. Me and my homey Matt Yafnofsky at Brickcityboxing.com were mad starstruck, he's a fucking icon.
When I saw the Noriko Kariya fight, I fell in love. She has the most amazing legs I'd ever seen. After the fight, I yelled at her from the crowd "NORIKO"!!! When she turned to me, I told her I loved her. She smiled flattered and went on to listen to her losing verdict. I was heartbroken.

Awesome news; I'm looking forward to the David Tua interview.
i dont believe you Ryan show me some evidance picture evidance a now fake :D
i think you even edited who the HBO thing so you would appear you are the fakest person ever :D
Let me tell you, I just finished the article on the fights and it was nasty. I definitely went to work big time and put together the best fight recap on this one out there. I'll let your guys judge, but I definitely put in serious work big time.
Damn Ryan, I'm jealous! I'd give my third knuckle to roll with Mick for a day and shoot the breeze with him. I remember some dudes a couple of years back who met him at a bar there in Boston and said he was wasted and still class and cool with them.
Yeah, he was kinda wasted. LOL
The funniest was Curtis Jones, a former amateur standout turned embittered pro. He saw my cred and was like "Who you write for?" Then he went on some tirade about how announcer Brian Adams punched him and ran at the December card, how he's being shorted as a pro, and who he was going to shoot on the way home. I was just like OMG this is too funny.
I only spoke with Gatti for a few moments, he's adored and mobbed by fans everywhere he goes. It's hard to get his attention for long.
Me and Mickey sat next to each other and just talked all night about everything under the sun. He was one of the coolest dudes ever. I have mad respect for him, he was a truly classy dude.

.....Very nice work Ryan. Did you chat up Gatti much. What's he like?

was zab judah or luis collazo there?
I didn't see Zab, but Collazo was there... he sat in the section right next to me!
Also in attendance: Arturo Gatti; Vito Antuofermo; Chuck Zito (I know he's not a boxer, but he's still pretty cool); Edgar Santana; Gary Stark Jr, Mickey Ward; David Tua
IMO powell didn't do shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
malignaggi was impressive by gaining his confidence against a strong opp. and showing that he belongs in there with class A fighters....
