Who wins this one? Braithwaite just beat some nobody in FL this weekend and has the skills and stamina to offset Bell. Bell is unpredictable and inconsistent but has e tendencies. Who you got?
I haven't seen it yet...Was it a "legit" win for Mormeck?
I think it was. He carried the early rounds, the middle rounds were all Bell, and then Mormeck's improved stamina, not improved by much, as well his greater resiliency and adaptability carried him to a win. It was hardly inconsequential that the fight took place in France, thus affording him the benefit of the doubt when he was out on his feet and defenseless at the end of the 7th and they didn't stop the bout, however.
Bell was busy trying to figure out what the fuck was going on. He cannot deal with movement at all. Dale Brown showed us that.

Anyone watch Bell/Mormeck II? I found it to be one of the strangest fights I have ever watched.......Bell appeared to be joking around most of the fight and the last 4 rounds or so were just flat out strange.

The difference between these two guys seems to be size. Braithwaite is an old world cruiserweight, he really is just a 190 pound fighter. Bell is a truer small heavyweight, weighing in at 200 pounds. That was the primary reason that Bell has had so much success with Mormeck, whereas Braithwaite wore down late.
If Braithwaite can effectively move to 200 pounds, I'd give him a great chance with Bell given Bell's recent taxing wars. Braithwaite is a masterful boxer when he wants to be, and posesses crushing southpaw power. Bell cannot deal with any kind of boxer, which is why Mormeck was able to beat him.
has there been any more info on bell? can't find anything about this in the news...
From a Feb. 19 article:
Boxers Behaving Badly update: Citing insufficient evidence, San Bernardino County prosecutors dropped charges against O’Neil Bell last week, clearing the way for the cruiserweight champion to face Jean-Marc Mormeck in a March 17 rematch of their 2006 slugfest, according to the Riverside Press-Enterprise. Bell was arrested Feb. 4 for allegedly throwing a hatchet and rocks at sparring partner Larry Slayton during a training run in Big Bear, Calif.
I got O'Neil Bell by KO..I didn't see Wayne's last fight, but the past couple before that,he didn't look good at all.He looked just about finished against top level opponents.Anyhow,Bell probadly isn't going to be fighting anyone in the ring atleast for a while.Did you hear that he got arrested at big bear for attacking a sparring partner with a hatchet:nonono:

The Big Truck just can't seem to put a whole fight together.........just like Bell however Bell comes on late and Braithwaite fades late so I say Bell by late stoppage.
Thats exactly how I see it too RAESAAD, well broken down! :biggthump
