Supermiddleweight prospect. 25-0 with 25 knockouts in the pros. 64-16 in the amateurs with 64 knockouts. Apparently he has frightening punching power and attitude. Jeff Fennech says he hits as hard, P4P, as Mike Tyson. He's held the pads for both.
Who's seen this guy, and what do you think? Limited opposition so far but at around 170 lbs he's knocked out a few 200+ lb guys. He may be just what boxing needs; the kind of guy most thought Jeff Lacy was going to become.
http://www.boxrec.com/boxer_display.php?boxer_id=016978 Here's his record.
the guy's been inactive as hell throughout his whole career. he fought three times in three months when i started watching his record, then he disappeared for almost a year, like hes done for his whole career so far.
he wont ammount to much if he fights while being so inactive.
i look at that record and find 1 legit ko
maybe hes just good at putting hes foot on the pedal at the right time and forcing the ref to step in. when the fights get alot bigger in stakes thatl be when we found out more bout him but i will keep an eye out for him
I believe Fennech as a no nonsense guy so when he says the guy can fucking hit, I believe him. To have 64 wins and 64 knockouts in the amateurs is extremely rare, a lot of those guys are movers and even Tyson was not the knockout machine in the amateurs that he was as a pro. I bet the guy has skills and athleticism to catch that many people that he has a 100% knockout ratio in the amateurs (I've never even heard of such a number before to be honest).
What remains to be seen is if he has heart and a chin. Looking at pics of the guy, he has a huge neck and a big head. Signs of a good chin. Pictures can't tell you everything but if I had to make an educated guess from the guy's build and structure, I bet he takes a punch well. Now heart is a complete x factor, there's no way we can know for sure.
Excellent post.
And adding to the heart factor; He may not be brave, but I could definitely see him being fairly confident going into his first important fight, because of his power.
sounds interesting, wouldnt mind seing him fight, but with a 100% knock out ratio, following him from the amateurs to the pros,he cant be bad.
hes either VERY good.
or
VERY protected.

Yeah well that was the issue with the "Chin Checkers" and they pretty much turned out to be a bust, so we'll see.
It's an issue with alot of guys who buil their records on a diet of D comp. But the thing is, these guys might suck, but who knows? Just 'cause they suck doesn't mean ALL of their chins are wobbly. I think he MUST be a hard hitter. Do you know if he has any skills/coordination?
What is he gonna do when he hits a guy and the other guy hits him back? I shall rserve all observations until I see that.
