Prime Vs Prime: Naz Via KO/wide decision.
Naz would catch Pacquiao coming in all night long.
Barrera beat a complete and utter shell of Naz when they fought and even he said that Naz hit harder than Pacquiao, imagine how much better that fight would have been if Naz was still in his prime.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I also believe that Emannual Steward said that Naz was pound-for-pound the hardest hitting puncher he's ever trained.
I love both fighters, but I have to agree with GeoffHayes that prime-Naz would have beaten Barrera/Morales/Pacquiao.
It really is a bad style matchup for Pac and anyone who can actually look at this fight without an agenda can see that.
People really forget how naturally talented Hamed was. There wasn't a thing he couldn't do. I hate to see ignorant fans say stuff liek he was a joke or he sucked when in reality he was one of the most naturally gifted fighters to ever step in the ring.
This was aguy who in his prime beat the WBC,IBF,WBA and WBO champions at 126lbs then he got LAZY and wasted all his gifts.
To beat a prime Hamed you had to BOX him make him come to you, not rush in and lunge cause he could counter all day long and thats what Pac does he comes in swinging.
I think Naz KO's him somewhere in the middle rounds.
Naz of 98 would make Pac look less than average but the Naz who fought Barrera would probably just nick a points win.
I suppose we wont get to see how good a prime Pac is until he gets it on with someone who isn't an old shot legend or a war torn fighter (Morales, Larios, Marquez and what looks like might be Chi)
Pac easy. Naz was good but what a dickhead. I once saw Naz shopping in Meadowhall with his hangers on acting a complete dick. Thought he was some sort of gangsta rappa innit.

Let's be real, all we see on this forum is about how Danny Williams is a God and Geoffhayes talking about how Calzaghe would destroy Sugar Ray Robinson. It's a little sickening at times.
Clearly, the Williams thing is a big, fat joke (see the irony...?)
Granted, GH can be a little delusional at times, but this is sometimes hidden by the mountain of technical jargon that he chooses to post.
What are you talking about, Barrera won 9-10 rounds in their fight, how is that not being in the same bracket?
Its Juy Juy.
Hes an idiot.
Dont take anything he says seriously.
Naz was extremely skilful and really light years ahead of the other bantams, super-bantams, feathers and super-feathers.
I wouldn't put Barerra, Morales or Pac in the same bracket.

He was an Ingle fighter. Herol 'Bomber' Graham (most avoided fighter of all-time, before anybody knew of any Mike McCallum) created the fighting template for Ingle fighters, in the 70's. It was basically switch-hitting, reflexes, punching at odd angles etc but there's a lot of secrets to the style and the technique, apparently.
They developed 'bottom-heavy' physiques, using strong legs to add leverage to their leaping punches, also allowing them to dance out of trouble. They also learned fighters how to lean back so much that their backs were almost flat, then they'd do these kind of reps.
Weird works for a while. Hamed, while fast and powerful, won as much as he did primarily because of his awkwardness and those odd punches. Now a real fighter on here can correct me if I'm wrong; but there are essentially just a basic few styles you learn to fight in and when you spar you familiarize yourself with the other styles such as counter-puncher, boxer-puncher, slugger, swarmer, etc., even though each boxer makes or modifies a certain basic style into his own. You have an idea what to expect with most "orthodox" styles.
Hamed did have phenomenal talent, yes. I'm not saying he didn't; but his success was more attributed to his "gimmick style" IMO. He was awkward, unorthodox, etc and when a fighter faced him, there was no real way to prepare yourself for the goofy stuff Hamed would do, so he always had you off guard. My point is it's easier for a fighter to train for a variation of a "known" style than to train and take on a completely off thw wall style used by an athlete of above average physical talents.
Where Hamed ran into trouble was with a formerly top-notch south-paw, Kelley, and a true professional boxer in Barrera. I submit that Freddie Roach has greatly improved Manny's style and while he's still very aggressive and does get carried away some time, he is a southpaw which would be difficult for Hamed as it is for any southpaw to face another because it so rarely happens; and Manny could hurt him if if he hit him, was in possession of a Jack Dempseyesque or Mike Tysonesque killer instinct. Manny would smother Hamed and get so close to him that he wouldn't see Hamed's awkwardnes; and this would also take away Hamed's punching room, which would cut into his punches effectiveness.
Hamed would lose because his strengths would be taken away from him by his brand new pair of Pacquia underwear. Manny's aggressivneness would carry him to the promised land.

I am very upset at PacLand often becuz alot of the posters are delusional. Talking about Randy Suico is a world beater, give me a break.
Randy is a great boxer and his debut fight at lightweight was with Daiz.
Sucio is good but he doesnt take his size effectivly and need a better trainer and coach.
there are alot of talents arounf the world there is no doubt about it.
but not everyone from this coutry is a champion or a superstar fighter too.

Yes, this is true, IF Manny could get inside. While I'm not saying Hamed is a faster puncher, he certainly has the stronger and more consistent, even akward jab. Manny would be facing a less plodding, stronger, stranger version of Marquez. I don't see Hamed NOT hurting Pac in the fight, becuase I think that he would get caught for the exact same reason you say Hamed would- those off balance lunges and flurries that Pac throws.
