this is a treat for who you think is the best boxer you have ever seen, remeber boxer and fighter are the same thing, who is p4p the best fighter you have watched....i personally think Henry Armstrong is the best....or sugar ray robinson...no one say anythin about who this guy beat and that guy, who is the best?
My list for top five:
I like lower weight classes, me being a little dude myself, so don't get mad.
1. SRR
2. Louis
3. Hagler
4. Pea
5. Hearns
Now, before anybody get's mad at me for my choices, hey, that's just MY choices. Anybodies list on here as just as good as mine.
Nice list mate ! all were terrific fighters

Floyd mayweather beat judah, castillo and corrales. Michael Spinks beat an undefeated larry holmes, marvin johnson, eddie mustafa muhammad and dwight muhammad qawi. It's a no compairson as to who has the better resume.
That caught my eye....
Rocky did lose fights, in his amateur career...His amateur record was 8-4.....There was a rumor that he had gone pro lost and went back down to amateur and the loss was omitted....This rumor is FALSE
He did go up to Pro and fought Lee Epperson...He won, but his management thought he needed more amateur experience so they brought him back down to amateur...However Epperson is on Marciano's record...
The greatest fighter?
Its hard because no fighter had it all...
I'd say some good candidates are-
P4P Willie Pep
P4P Sugar Ray Robinson
Joe Frazier
Mike Tyson
Jess Willard :D (jk)
Edit-----
Joe Frazier
Mike Tyson
Rocky Marciano
Muhammad Ali
Joe Louis
Honorable mentions-
Evander Holyfeild
Regardless of the fact that he had this undefeated record as a heavyweight. (I saw the Joe Louis story and they said Rocky lost in a lightweight fight or something to that effect). The man retired undefeated, enough said!

I love roy but michael spinks is better than him. I dont think eddie futch will have problems training him how to beat a boxer puncher with reflexes, if you know what i mean. If eddie futch knows how to beat ali, he can beat roy jones jr too.
Michael spinks would slowly apply volume pressure on roy and knock him out, i'm sorry its the truth, spinks was just that good.
My pick is What the Thread starter said plus throw in Pep but Roy Jones was up there no doubt about it! Id sat P4P he was way better than Spinks, Mabey not at Light Heavy tho

This is the guy that really influence boxing to be a big money sports as it is today. Even the trash talkings and the HYPINGS, it all started from the guy.
And foremost, this is the guy that put's my heart into this sports. :)
Thats not completely true.. there was trash talking and boxing match hype before ali... I was reading this thing about ALI that was called I don't remember if it was Ali the the facts and the myths or something like that, but he wasn't the first thats a myth.
I will see if I can find the article to post.
Defintly Mike Tyson he was Powerful, Quick, Fast and Elusive... he could hit you with a 1-2 before you could throw a jab his uppercut was devastating and had it Landin flush on Muhammed Ali's chin as Joe frazier's Left Hook he would have floored THE GREAONE for a 10 count not a just almost decision!
He reigned supreme for and era with an IRON FIST as no other champ before him, he was his only opposition and ultimatley the VILE kid from Brooklyn surcam to the fame glory and infamice lifetsyle he chose to live. He for a long while was The Baddest Man on The Plant just as Ali was/and is the Greatest, Tyson undoubtfully could have beat any champion of any era had they both meet in there primes.... This includes Jack Johnson to Dempsey, to Joe Louis, to Marcino, Ali, Frazier, Forman, Norton, Holmes, Holyfield, Lewis, V,W.KLIT, Peter to Toneys disappointing FAT ASS!
in the past 20 years pea and rj, i would bet heavy money on pbf being there with those when all is said and done.
alltime robinson,
honorable mentions go to gans, armstrong, duran, pep
of the past 20 years, sweet pea and jones jr....
all time, srr
Yeah I don't know.
I've been taught a lot about old school fighters, but I never was able to see them in their greatness. Roy Jones Jr. is the only fighter I can think of outside of Lennox Lewis who I was fully exposed to in length, career wise and as great fighters. IMO they're the two best fighters of our generation.....Roy the best.
He was Setting compubox all time records as the most accurate puncher of all time....I miss watching his old fights where he'd showboat and win every single round in a fight, simply outclassing everyone.
Nobody ever has, and nobody ever will be as great and dominant as RJJ.
