the fight was a lot closer than I thought it was, first round could have gone either way but I think Valuev had the more cleaner punches, round 2 Valuev dominated with a few good right hands and nice jabbing but in round 3 I thought Mccline won that round big, he hit Valuev with some good shots and even stunned him a bit it would have been interesting to see how this fight would have ended if not for the injury but too bad...
He looks slow and not mobile.. but I find an odd coincidence how everyone just freezes when they are in a ring with him..
that is an optic illusion... the King Kong effect ...
Valuev's step size is about quarter of the ring, so even though it looks like he does not move at all, he actually cuts space and moves at a substantial speed...
valuev landed nothing in the clips i saw, mccline was grabbing him when he came in and then moving around and counter punching. valuev was getting dominated in the third round.
youre kidding right?
You sure you clicked on the same links?
McCline had a few pointless furies to the body.. one or two to the head,..
but none really bothered Valuev.. He looks slow and not mobile.. but I find an odd coincidence how everyone just freezes when they are in a ring with him..
Valuev will take 3-4 shots to land one of his own
In that fight, McCline was fighting shit scared.. He would have tired in the next 3-4 rounds if the fight was gonna continue.
And then...
Big Time Is Up! (or should I say down)
I agree,,,mccline looked tense and bothered by valuev's size and physical strength. just judging by the fact valuev was getting the better of it through most of the first 3 rounds coupled with the fact that valuev usually wears his opponents down by the mid rounds it appears mccline was on his way to a stoppage loss or at best decision loss but it stinks we never got a chance to find out for sure

6' 1 Chagaev VS 7' 0 Valuev booring fight.
Sooner or later Valuev will be beat, he seems to be a nice guy but I can't stand him and want him to be knocked out.
Me too man! Among other reasons I kinda resent him for being so damn big! Not his fault I know!

Mr. Sauerland, promoter of Valuev said that they are looking to fight Chagaev in april.
He will beat his ass too! Stick him in with Peter or Wlad, let them fuck em up! They the only 2 that could IMO

The whole fight is on You-tube now.
Rnds 1&2
Rnd 3
Perfect example as to why I like to actually see a fight for myself, as some journalists reported that McCline "rocked" Valuev, clearly that was never the case. McCline looked very scared after winging away with all he had, only to see Valuev still coming at him.
What has the HW division come to when people are calling for a Valuev-McCline rematch?!?
Let's see Valuev-Chagaev, then the winner faces Klitschko, Maskaev or Peter or Briggs or Ibrigamov (if he wins). SOMEBODY with a belt. PLEASE. Anything else is another step backward for the division.

Thanks for the post, brotha. Wouldn't have caught this otherwise - we owe u.
This was on the opening page on AOL I hear.
The injury itself wasn't much to appreciate in terms of gore.
I thought his leg was going to come off from what it was made to seem..
Looked like it could have been an alright fight... Shame.
I think this fight should be ruled a No contest...
But McCline was fighting very tense.. I didn't see his shots hurt, or even bother Valuev... I don't see McCline last 12 rounds in this fight.
Fight would have changed momentum by like the 7th rounds and McCline would have been out in 9.
Just my thoughts :dunno:
My thoughts exactly! Thanks for the link bud :biggthump
That should be called a nc cuz he wasnt kod fro a punch
McCline injured himself so its a TKO. If it was from an accidental foul like stepping on his foot then it would warrent being a NC, but not in this case.
rematch my ass..
He was a voluntary defence.. why should he face him again.
He will have to fight a mandatory and then I say UNIFY!
And if not, at least give others a chance if anything
