Roys half the fighter he was but thats still good enough to beat most of the division! I wouldnt be shocked if Roy won the belts back and became recognised as division leader again! He aint half the man he was tho, I pick him to beat B-Hop in a dull match with Roy potshotting to a points win, And i pick him to beat Tarver and Johnson if they fought again, but he can defo be beat
I don't think Roy is that shot, you guys are mentioning Adamek who is pretty good and exciting but I don't think he is on Roy's level when it comes to hand speed and elusiveness. In his last fight with paul Briggs actually both fights he got hit a lot and showed quite a few weaknesses. He is still unseasoned to me. I haven't seen Dawson fight yet, but I understand he is a newbie too. I think Roy still has outstanding hands and a lot of knowledge and experience in the ring. If motivated I think he can still be considered at the top of the division. Roy is still a contender.
Roy is still a top 10 guy at 175, but that will fade if he never fights. He has been very inactive, which kills an older fighter because they are only going to age more and more. They need to get as many fights in as possible before they really suck.
Jones could possibly work himself to beat even the best at 175 (Adamek, Dawson) but it would be shaky.
How 'shot' is he? Shot enough that I would not be able to decisively pick him to beat Ruiz or Woods in rematches.
Talk about an understatement.
Roy was one of the most skilled fighers in history.
How ignorant are you??
physically talented yes. skilled no. your lack of understanding of language proves your ignorance. not to mention the fact that you are a full fledged jock carrying floyd fanboy.
HOLY SHIT HE OWNED YOU, un-install windows now
I put 75% shot.......because he looked scared to get hit against Tarver and that Prince dude at first anyway. He still got good speed and skills but he just appears afraid to get hit after his two devastating KO losses.I dod give him credit tho it took balls for him to get back in there with Tarver after those 2 Kos.

I voted 65% shot. He's looked horrible since the first Tarver fight IMO. I'm not sure if it's the result of endless weight gain and subsequent weight loss or simply that he's become so complacent in believing that he's the best fighter ever that he's lost any desire to compete to win at this point in his career.
After his next fight I hope he retires, I don't care who he fights. I know Hopkins is a big payday for him and I'd love to see the fight but Hopkins is still in his prime IMO. If Jones fights him he'll get a serious ass-kicking.
you mean he doesnt have the " Eye of the Tiger" :D
i think he should go abit back to basic and try to to make something new but i dont know in this age but he still could beat couple good contenders even some belts holders
Jones will be back this year no doubt, The problem with Jones is that he is too damn good the guy is a phenomenon and because of his greatness he doesnt really get up for the fights with Antonio Tarver and Glencoffe Johnson etc . The reason why I say he will be back is because if the fight with Hopkins does happen there is no dount in my mind that Jones will stream roll him and possible win the fight by Tko
Y`all must have forgot the Left hook that James Toney got a sucka move I stole from a Game cock
From his round one album
ya'll must forgot... Roy got clocked cold by Tarver... the same Tarver who got schooled by B-Hop...
ya'll must forgot... Glen Johnson just stepped over Roy's ass... the same Johnson who at his prime was stopped by B-hop...
ya'll must forgot...
L O L....
RJJ was ONCE the best p4p fighter... but not anymore...
Tarver and Glen Johnson is the resaon why RJJ is psychologically wrecked dude. And he's no longer the same after that.
thats what happens to those bigheads who thinks theyre the best nobody beats them sort of that.
like Hamed, Floyd someday.
save Ali, he's a true great champ.
dude, your talkin about shit you don't know, that was so much more than so-so, he shut that muther fuckers kidney down, Dont You Dare give me bull shit about a so-so performance
yeah right buddy... you know everything and i don't... have you ever thought what the fuck can the vintage RJJ would do to Ajamu??? Ajamu would get ktfo no doubt... if you find Roy's performance against Ajamu awesome, then be my guest... you are entitled to your opinion and me to mine... for me, that was just a so-so performance... hell! if Roy got ktfo i wouldn't be that surprised...
he's about 85% shot IMO... after that move back to lightheavy from heavy, he was only a shadow of his former self...
damn, Tarver ktfo him silly, and Glen Johnson walked over him.... :nonono:
after a so-so performance against Ajamu(?)... he still had the guts to claim he's the p4p #1 fighter??? damn, he's delusional... he's so shot, he's having these delusions...
