HBO PPV will televise. More details to follow shortly. (12:43 PM EST)
How do I figure that out? Well that came directly from Oscar's mouth. He said if Pac signs up with Arum he won't be fighting any GBP fighter and that's all in print. Did you miss that? :)
Well we can't say by now if Pac is smart, dumb or not. Let's wait on what happens next. As I previously posted the WBC belt doesn't mean shit to him, he's got the no 1 p4p rating and he'll fight MAB and JMM even without a title As long as the price is right. Now if the GBP fighters will just stick to theirt WBC title and won't be interested in the no 1 p4p ranking they are the ones not smart not Pac.
Bottom line is GBP cannot dictate on the NO 1 P4P fighter in exchange for a shot at an alphabet title. Nobody holds Pac hostage, he has already proven and earned his due. :D With the "crook" Arum on Pac's side I'm sure he'll do everything in his powers to give Pac the biggest pay check ever available even without MAB and JMM.
The only draw back is if the court rules in favor of GBP later, Arum loses out not Pac.
Pac-man is becoming more and more a topic of discussion for fight fans. I think it also attests to his pound for pound status. He's still on the rise, and if he can beat Marquez, or Valero, or another tough young fighter, I think it'll increase his stock even more.
Well let's just put it this way. :)
If JMM wins he might fight Guzman and after that what? If MAB wins do you think he'll be pitted against Guzman? I don't think so. MAB may opt to retire if the big fight with Pac won't happen.
The WBC belt doesn't really carry that much weight it's the pound for pound stature that Pacman has which counts buddy. So how long can GBP avoid the clash between their fighters and Pacman? I don't think it's gonna last that long. :p
How you figure that their Avoiding him? Paquaios is the dumb ass that went and fuck everything up by signing with a promoter that has nobody for him! Oscar even put his pride down and wanted to make the fight and what happens? Bob tells Pac not to take it and he listens. i dont think Pac is scared but he's just not that smart.
I don't think Pac wants it because he is probably is thinking they will go to war and then he will come in afterwards when they have softened each other up because of it. Then he will look real good again like he did with Morales because which ever one of the two he fights will have battle scars.
Negative : We may never see Pac-Barrera II again
Positive: The long-due Barrera-JMM fight will now happen
If Barrera wins we'll probably see Pac-Barrera II.

I hear that.
Well in as much as I really wanted that Pac/MAB rematch to happen there's nothing much anybody can do. :D It's obvious that GBP and TOP Rank won't work together to make it happen.
Good for Marquez because he'll finally have a chance to get a recognition, a chance that he lost when he decided not to fight El Terible and Pacman. If Marquez wins there's no way in hell a Pac/JMM rematch won't happen. And it's gonna be bigger.
Yeah, seems to me these three have destiny written all over them at that, in some fashion, we're going to see another round of fights.
JMM vs. Pac?
Barrera vs. Pac?
Now it's, JMM vs. Barrera.
This isn't where it ends, though. Winner faces Pacquiao. Are we all pretty confident of that?
Good. This match is long overdue. JMM, along with Erik Morales and Marco Antonio Barrera comprised the "little big 3", so to speak. This is good because both are past there best and will be fighting for pride and legacy....and whoever wins, it will set up a great rematch with Manny Pacquia, boxing's future. The old guys are taking care of unfinished business and setting up the passing of the torch ceremony at the same time.
I like it.
That's a very good way of looking at it. I was interested in the match-up and I think you've now sold me on it. When put like that this match-up is almost preferable to an immediate Pac-Barrera fight.
So who the heck does Pac fight?
Joan Guzman?
Rocky Juarez ? I think NOT.
The top 3 Lightweights are all fighting early this year.
David Diaz? Pac would probably want the better DIAZ.
Maybe Soto, I would watch.
I dont see anything special for Pac Man in April, maybe beat up on Zahir Raheem as his first match at 135.

well this sucks... was looking forward for Pac MAB II. Oh well... I will still watch this fight..
I still think this could be a good fight. Marquez impressed me in his last fight. He showed some heart even with blood streaming down his face that makes me think he might be ready for a war.
