I think not LOL
If that was suppose to be their marquee match for the year then that was a huge dissapointment. UFC's 2 biggest stars made for a snore fest. Those UFC people need to shut up about boxing being dead if that was the best they had to offer.
Boxing >>>>>>>>>>>> UFC
Remeber when Rogan said Boxing was getting "swallowed" by the UFC? Shit was hilarious. Dibella is horrible at debates we should have had Arum do the debate, he would have worked Rogan.

2ND THAT JUS BECAUSE I BOX LOL.
Frank Mir said Tyson would get destroyed in the UFC.
What do you think of that as a Tyson fan and someone who enjoys MMA?
Well mate, as a Mike Tyson fan first, id say in MMA he would get destroyed, i mean if guys like kevin mcbride, and danny williams are standing toe to toe with mike tyson, and thats just punches guy at 6'3+ would jst kick tysons legs to bits, if it was younger and still top fitness level i would say yes tyson would hav a chance and Tyson also said he would fight sapp in mma, hes said "boxing mma i dont care, i mean if i can get some shorts we can do it 2nite"
They hand out towels and lotion to the fans in attendance so they can start touching themselves once the two fighters start humping in the ring.
Oh, this my favorite way to deal with these MMA guys.
Most of em' are contracted disruptors trying to steal boxing fans straight out of a forum.
Tyson was actually asked to fight Bob Sapp in K-1 and he was all for it...until he found out it wasn't a pure boxing match. So I can't imagine Tyson fighting any of the eliete k-1 fighters much worse the top MMA fighters. It's a totally different world. In a pure boxing match all K-1 & MMA heavy weights would lose to Tyson no question.
UFC sucks - that's what's up.
Have you ever been to a live MMA fight?
You can't see the action when the fighters get on ground.
It's the worst live spectator sport in the world.
Ask Chuck Norris. He's the one that said that.
Not only hav i been to one, ive been inside the cage mate, and what about boxing fights when ur right up the top, u cant see shit either

...I disagree, but under certain conditions you may be right.
ya thats the scary thing every great society has fallen because of greed.
when you have everything you do perverted things because you dont have as much worries...that is why they had alot of pervs back then and now.
History repeats its self.
ive still never seen a guy hand out towels n shit to the fans so u dnt no wats up

I pointed out that MMA is already very technical. If you go back and watch UFC 1 the gulf in skills between now and then it is readily apparent.
However in another fifteen years the same won't be true because MMA is already very technical. There will be some evolution simply because things are always evolving. However when, in fifteen years, we look back at Fedor Emelianenko it will be like comparing Larry Holmes to Lennox Lewis. It won't be like looking back at Royce Gracie who was very one dimensional and quite clearly couldn't hang with the top guys of today.
Yes, white people are the most powerful economic group in America. They have massive spending power. I wasn't disputing that.

My point was that boxing problems are nowhere near as simple no white fighters “owning it”. Boxing isn't dying. However it isn't a popular as it once was. Why is that? There are many reasons which are covered in a whole multitude of threads on this board.
Would a dominate white American heavyweight champion do boxing in America good? Yeah it would. A dominate heavyweight champion period would do boxing good. Would he be more popular if he was white? Yes. However a dominate heavyweight champion period would be very popular regardless of his race.
Explaining Mike Tyson would be a whole book. I cited him because, I think, he proves that you can market a black fighter to white America and be phenomenally successful. He has to have star quality and that X factor but it can be done.

The UFC are great at hyping fights and fighters. For instance, the UFC's reality show is a thing of beauty. I don't mean that it's a great TV show. However, in the course of one season of twelve one hour episodes they are able to get over the personality of everyone in the house. In that respect they are brilliant. I remember Dave Meltzer, who's the number one guy who covers pro-wrestling, saying that they're better at that than the WWE.
It's not just on the reality show either. The UFC are very good at promoting fighters. Not just as guys who fight either. They are good at promoting fighter's personalties and stories.
The UFC PPVs do differing buy rates depending on what the main event is. People aren't just tuning in because they want to see carnage. People like UFC for a gambit of reasons. The main reason, I think, is they promote fights that people want to see with fighter's they are interested in.
I agree.
I was just trying to make the point that you can market black fighters to white America.
Of course every era is different. If you told someone is the mid-sixties that now, in 2007, Ali would be one of America's most beloved figures they would think that you were crazy. Times change.
However some of the biggest super fights in the 70's like the Ali/Frazier clashes were fights between black guys. You could promote black fighters and still get white America's money then. I still think you can do that today.

seriously, what ufc, pride k1 or mma matches do u watch man? i mean with the guy in ur pic, i dnt think u should be talkin to much about the gay stuff, when clearly u look a bit gay urself if thats u, if not, y a pic of a guy?
I'm only talking about UFC.
I have Fedor's entire career on DVD.
I know what's up.

but as soon as the sport becomes mroe technical and minorities start winning you will see the fanbase die down a bit.

Anybody who disputes the popularity of anything as it pertains to "White" needs to take a socio-economics class.

UFC is taking over...with the frat boys, racist rich white kids, and the rednecks but once more minorities take over they will lose interest...why do you think not many white kids follow boxing? because they dont see any white peole owning in it.

The crudeness of your argument in blending all the era's of the last 30 to 40 years is an insult to nature, humanity, and the sands of time. Each grain is unique and totally seperate...

i think there are so many little black fighters in boxing and mma because all of them are goin for the bigger easyer money to be made in football and basketball...IMO
That's true.
The money in the other sports and the chance to be seen.
